Sunday..
I was up at 6.10, put on a load of washing and had my breakfast. H made us a coffee and I hung out the washing. Next I took the hose out to the front because we have reseeded out lawn and it was drying out. I got our bikes out of the garage and read a chapter of my book. At 9.30 we got ready to go out on our bikes. We went out to pick sloes so I can make some sloe gin. It didn’t take us long to pick as many as I wanted so we carried on and rode to Aylsham via Blickling and home. It was a nice ride, (30.2 miles). As soon as we were home we had a coffee and then lunch. H had a cheese sandwich with relish and I had cucumber sticks which I dipped in mayo and a slice of cheese. We sat all afternoon watching the world championships (men’s road race) . I had a shower and for dinner we had quiche with potato wedges and peas. I am about to go upstairs to watch the strictly come dancing results. I have suddenly got toothache!! I haven’t had toothache for at least 40 years! It’s horrible. I have to work tomorrow so I hope it goes off over night but I have a horrible feeling it’s not going to.

Saturday
I got up at 7.07 !!! I can’t remember when I was in bed so late! It is because it was nice and cool. I put on a load of washing and had my breakfast. When the washing was done I hung it out and H made us a coffee. I dressed etc and swept the kitchen floor and the d/s loo, then I washed them both. I vacuumed upstairs and down and everywhere looks nice. I made the bed, shook the mats and dusted. My daughter rang and we had a nice chat, they were off to Sheringham and then to Felbrig Hall to walk the dogs. Yesterday she had her done and made her appointment for her hair before the wedding! It’s getting that close!! H rode of zwift (62.6 miles) so when he had showered and dressed we had our lunch. We had soup with toasted French stick 🥖, coffee and a rock cake. After that we had a glass of wine and a chocolate biscuit. ( I am having a day where I feel hungry all the while) I get this sometimes!!! At the moment we are watching the women’s world championships ( cycling) . Tomorrow it’s the men. When it is over I will get my washing in and have a shower before cooking dinner. For dinner we are having an all day breakfast!! Bacon, eggs, mushrooms, sausages, fried tomatoes and fried bread. I shall be going upstairs after that so I can watch strictly come dancing on my tele because H won’t want to watch it, he can stay down and watch rubbish on the big tv.

Friday.
I got up at 5.50, put on a load of washing and had a slice of buttered toast for breakfast with a mug of tea. As soon as I had finished I cleaned my teeth, dressed etc and we went for our weekly shop. When we got home and had finished unpacking we had a coffee and a cream merangue. I hung out the washing and read my magazine. H got the bikes out of the garage and checked the tyres. Today was
‘Soup and sandwiches ‘ in Cawston village hall, H didn’t want to go but I promised his sister that I would. As it was a nice sunny morning I had decided to bike there. H said he would cycle with me but carry on back home again. We decided to go the long way round so we had a good ride. We started off along the track which we were going to stay on all the way to Cawston (16miles) when we had gone 6 miles we came across a few children walking 🚶♀️We carried on and there were more and more. When we caught up to a teacher she told us there were one thousand kids all doing a 7 mile walk. Well it took us so long we couldn’t do our long ride because I would have been late so we took a short cut and ended up doing 11.3 miles on the way there. H went home and I went in. I bought a strip of raffle tickets and sat at a table. My sister in law and her husband arrived and also 4 of their friends. The meal was lovely, I had roast sweet potato soup with a wholemeal roll and butter. Then instead of the usual sandwiches there were French sticks then plates of ham, cucumber, celery, tomatoes, pickled onions, crisps, around 5or 6 different cheeses and a wonderful dip of cottage cheese with walnuts, grapes etc. There was also about 8 desserts, all of them yummy, I had trifle. Next it was tea or coffee and then the raffle. I won a prize!!! I am 80 in about 2 months and it’s only the second raffle I have won. There were loads of prizes but I choose a small one because I had to carry it home on my bike. I picked dark chocolate ginger cookies, H loves ginger and chocolate so he is happy. When I got home I had done 19 miles. We had a glass of wine and I had a shower and washed my hair. For dinner we had beef in wine with potatoes, cauliflower and cabbage.

Thursday
I got up at 5.30,put on a load of washing and had my breakfast. I packed my lunch, dressed, hung out the washing, made the bed and went to work. I had to pick 6 bunches of purple carrots, 48 bunches of orange carrots and a box of loose ones. They have dried out again so I had to fork them all up but it helps to keep me fit. I had to have 6 bunches of golden beetroot and 20 bunches of purple ones. Next Andy came to pick everything up and we washed and packed it all. We had our break and I walked to the leek bed to trim 2 boxes of leeks. I did one box and Andy turned up and helped with the second because someone had ordered 10 sacks of turnips so we had to trim them. When we had done enough we went back to the yard, washed and packed them and the leeks. It was 12.40 then and I just had time to pick 23 bunches of spring onions before home time. When I got home H made me a coffee and I had an apple. I got my washing in all dry again and we watched the junior road race. I had a bath and then made a pot of tea and cooked dinner. We had cod in a pasley sauce with potatoes, cabbage and cauliflower. No more work for me till Monday.

Busy day.
I got up at 6.10, put on a load of washing and had my breakfast. We had a coffee and I emptied the dishwasher and put everything away. I hung out the washing and then made H some more rock cakes. H got ready to go for his Spanish lesson and I went to the garden centre to get some transparent pots for orchids. Our daughters orchids (4 of them) had outgrown their pots and are looking quite poorly so I am trying to bring them back to life. After I had the pots i went to the farm shop for some English apples. As soon as I got home I dumped my shopping in the kitchen and changed into cycle gear and went out on my bike. I only rode 12. 6 miles but it was enough for me to say that I have had my exercise and it only took me 57 minutes. H came back a few seconds after me so we had a coffee and a rock cake. I picked 8 tomatoes from the garden, they are coming to an end but have been amazing. Next I repotted the orchids and worked in the garden for an hour and a half and have filled my garden rubbish bin again. I got my washing in, all dry and had a shower. While I was upstairs H made a pot of tea so we had a cup and then I cooked dinner. We had liver, onions, potatoes and cabbage, it was delicious. Tomorrow I have to go to work.

Tuesday.
I got up at 6, just in time to see the beautiful harvest moon setting from my bedroom window. I put on a load of washing and had my breakfast. I sat and read till H came down and we had a coffee. I hung the washing out and H got our bikes out of the garage. H said we would go out around 10 so I made the bed and dusted upstairs then read till it was time to get changed. We biked to Aylsham bank and butchers. We went the long way and came back the short way which made it 32.3 miles. A very nice ride. When we got home it was lunch time so we had a coffee, H had a cheese and pickle sandwich followed by a bowl of cornflakes while I had a tomato and a slice of corned beef. We watched the world championships, today was the women’s time trial. Next we watched tipping point. Earlier I stood our sun chairs in the sun to air and when I got the washing in we put the bikes and the chairs in the garage. I said we wouldn’t want to sit in the garden this year and the weather girl just said it will be 22 degrees tomorrow and we will all want to be sitting outside!!!! For dinner tonight we had sausages, bacon, tomatoes and eggs. I have had a nice day. Tomorrow H has a Spanish lesson but I said I won’t cycle with him this week I will do some baking and gardening instead.

It was a nice day but cooler than it has been for a while. When I got home we had a coffee and I ate a tomato and a slice of corned beef. I had a bath, started a new book and we watched tipping point. For dinner tonight we had salmon fish cakes, grilled tomatoes and chips, followed by raspberry yogurt. Sunday.
I woke up at 5.30 but stayed in bed till H woke up. It was 6.30! .we had our breakfast and then a coffee. At 8 o’clock it began to rain and it was still raining at 11! My boss will be pleased and I suppose I will be when I don’t have to dig the carrots out tomorrow. We had a coffee and I did the ironing and vacuumed the whole house and then dusted. Our daughter and son in law both came round, H made them a coffee and when they left H had a cheese sandwich with relish and I had a tomato and a slice of cheese. As it was still raining i🌧 I just sat and read my book. We watched cycling on tv, world championships. It was the women’s and men’s team time trials. We had a cup of tea and a square of dark chocolate then I had a shower and cooked dinner. We had pork with potatoes, cabbage, broccoli and carrots. We had a message from no 2 son to say he had arrived safely in New York. It’s work for me tomorrow.
I went to get some milk out of the fridge and happened to find half a bottle of tonic. I thought it would be a shame to waste it so we had to have a G&T 🤓

Saturday.
I got up just before 6.30! I slept well because it’s cooler I think. I did a load of washing and hung it out. I finished a matinée coat that I was knitting and started a new book. I swept the kitchen floor and cleaned the worktops etc. I hung out the washing and at 9.30 I cycled to Felthorpe for 2 crabs for our lunch. The shop is only 2.3 miles from our house and when I go out on my bike I always like to do at least 10 miles, it’s not worth all the hassle of getting ready for any less so I did a bit of a detour.
(10.1 miles) H was on the trainer upstairs. Next we got ready to go to the doctors for our flu jab. We left home at 11.50 and were back indoors at 12.06 !! We then had our lunch. H had a crab sandwich but I ate mine straight from the shell with pepper and vinegar, it was yummy. H had a rock cake as well but I didn’t, we both had a coffee. H had 40 winks so I read my book and when he woke up we went to our no 1 sons because it was his wife’s birthday yesterday. We had a cup of tea and I had a slice of cherry cake which was so delicious, lovely and moist and full of cherries. ( H doesn’t like cherries) When we left Jane gave us a tub of her homemade frozen raspberry yogurt. We just had it for pudding and it is so tasty. For dinner we had haddock with baked beans and potato wedges. My washing is nice and dry again.

Friday
I was up just before 6 and had a slice of toast and marmite for breakfast with a nice mug of coffee. I put on a load of washing, cleaned my teeth etc and we went to Asda. When I got back I unpacked and put everything away while H went into the garage for our bikes and a spare pedals for our daughter who had split one of hers. I let her know we were home and she then cycled round. We changed ready to go out when she arrived. H changed her pedals and we biked along the track to Reepham station. Now Louise said before we started out, no cakes because we all want to loose weight. Several weeks ago when we went to the cafe they had millionaires tarts, we tried them and they were delicious. We have been loads of times since and they have never had them again. Anyway when Louise said no cakes I said that’s fine but if they have the chocolate tarts we will have to have them, so guess what? There they all were!! ( and still delicious). It was a very windy ride but I loved every minute of it. We had spaghetti on toast for lunch with a coffee and later on a glass of wine. I got my washing in because it rained but it is just about dry. The first line full was dry anyway. I had a shower and washed my hair thenfor dinner we had paella with garlic bread and lemon tart for pudding.

Wet work day , Thursday.
I got up at 5.40, put on a load of washing and had my usual work day breakfast. I packed my lunch, sorted out my bag, made my bed and got ready to go to work. I had to pick 20 golden beetroot, 36 purple beetroot, ( all bunches) 6 purple carrots, 48 orange carrots and a box of loose carrots. After that I had to walk to the leeks and trim 2 boxes. It was 11am when I finished so I pulled fat hen out of the celeriac bed and when I finished that I moved to the late leek bed and began weeding that. When Andrew came with the tractor to pick up my leeks I went back to the yard with him to wash and pack everything. When it was all washed Andrew went for his lunch and I pack and weighed everything till it was time for me to leave. When I got home H made me a coffee and I had my usual slice of corned beef but I felt really hungry so I had a bowl of cornflakes and then one of the rock cakes I made yesterday. I had a shower and now I am about to cook dinner. We are having pasta in a meaty sauce . I make my sauce with beef mince from my butcher, onion, tomato, grated carrot, broccoli, a tin of tomatoes and a few herbs and spices. I don’t think I will see much of my soaps tonight, I feel so tired and can’t stop yawning. It is weigh in day, so when I got up I jumped on the scales. I weighed the same as last week and I must say I was pleased with that because I expected to go up after all the food and drink I consumed on Saturdays ‘hen day’. My daughter gained 2 pounds and I am sure I would have done the same if I hadn’t worked so hard on my bike.

We left home at 9.25 and cycled together as far as the bottom of long water lane, he carried on to his lesson and I went off for a ride. As it was so windy I decided to ride along the track. It was windy there but not as bad. I did 23.3 miles all on my own. I enjoyed it. I had only been home 8 minutes when H arrived back. We had a coffee and a small sweet and sour rice dish. Next I made him some rock cakes, peeled the cooked my last 4 apples ready for apple and custard tonight. I had a bath and a nice cup of tea then I cooked dinner. We had chicken with green beans, broccoli and new potatoes followed by the apple and custard (Hs favourite) I had my apple with yogurt. Tomorrow I have to go to work.

We had a nice ride even if it was really windy. 22.2 miles. We had cheese and biscuits for lunch with a coffee and later on a glass of wine. Today (Sunday)
I got up at 6.10, put on a load of washing and had my breakfast. I hung out the washing when it was done and we had a coffee. I read a chapter of my book, made the bed and then asked me if I wanted to go out on my bike!! I wasn’t expecting him to go out today after riding 90 miles yesterday! He said he would like to just do a short ride and not too fast. Well that suited me down to the ground because I felt a bit fuzzy headed after all the alcohol yesterday so I changed ready to go. We did 16.6 miles along the track. We were sheltered there but it was really windy and on the road it would have been awful. When we got back my washing was all dry so I went to get it in and H called me to say our daughter in law was here. So I left the washing and went in. She had just come from her allotment and brought me 3 courgettes, a cucumber, some French beans and a huge bag of brambly apples 🍏. She stopped for a cup of tea and a cup cake so we had a nice chat. H had a cheese sandwich and I had a slice of corned beef. Earlier I had to also write yesterday’s blog because I didn’t do it yesterday. We had a glass of wine and a box of popcorn from yesterday’s party. We watched the last day of the tour and Simon Yates won. Brits have won all the major tours this year. For dinner tonight we had quiche, patatas bravas and grilled tomatoes. Stewed plums and yogurt for pud. I have seen so many photos today of yesterday’s antics and some videos that are hilarious.
Yesterday!!
I got up at 5.50 , made a pot of tea and had my breakfast. H was up at the same time as he was leaving at 7.45 to meet our son in law to go for a bike ride while I was out for the whole day at our granddaughters hen party. After H had left I dressed etc and left the house at 7.55 to meet Chloe who was picking me up and taking me, first to daughters house to collect her and our other granddaughter, then on to Kim’s house, the girl who organised it all. She drove us to the brides house where we met all the others. There was 11of us in all. We all changed into black ‘bride tribe’ t shirts, ( a white one for the bride) plus’s a garter and veil. We all surprised her then drove to Wroxham for a day on the Broard’s on the Werry, Albatross. After we were all fitted up with our life jackets we set sail, the weather was perfect, the crew of 4 were great and all us ‘hens’ got on so well together. ( it was also a lovely day for H’s epic bike ride.) we stopped at Ranworth for lunch at the Maltsters pub, Daugter and I had a double pink gin and tonic with our meal and another of the same afterwards! The meal was lovely. Then it was all back onto the Werry, hoist the sail and off again. The bride had several
‘Shots’ and cocktails but none of us fell of the boat on the way back😂. Some of us then went back to Kim’s for party games and some amazing cakes made by her mother. We also had pizzas and, of course, drinks, crisps etc etc. I finally arrived home just after 10.30. H had gone to bed. He had ridden 90 miles!! In 4 hours. He was 80 last April! I sat and read 3 chapters of my book, had a quick shower and was in bed at 2 minutes to midnight.0

Friday
I managed to stay in bed till 6.15 😊then I put on a load of washing and had my breakfast (buttered toast). As soon as I had finished I cleaned my teeth etc dressed and went to Asda for my weekly shop. When I had unpacked it and put it all away I had a coffee and read my magazine. I hung the washing out, made the bed and vacuumed all downstairs. Then I got ready to go out on my bike. H didn’t want to come because he is doing a long ride tomorrow so I went on my own. I only did 15.4 miles because it was really windy and I was a bit bored on my own. While I was out H reseeded our front lawn and watered it. We then both went into the back garden and pruned a few shrubs that have gone on a mad growing binge. We had a fried egg sandwich for lunch with a coffee. We watched the cycle race and I had a shower and we had a cup of tea. I picked another huge bowl of tomatoes and got the washing in dry again. For dinner tonight we had paella with garlic and herb flat breads.

Thursday
Work again today so I got up at 5.25, put on a load of washing and had my breakfast. I packed my lunch, made my bed, dressed, hung out the washing and went to work. I had to do 32 bunches of golden beetroot, 50 bunches of purple ones. Then to the carrots for 27 bunches of purple carrots and 108 bunches of orange ones. Andy helped with a few bunches of carrots and then took me to the leeks. We trimmed 6 boxes and it was 12.30 so he dropped me off at the spring onions on his way to have his lunch and I did 25 bunches before home time. When I got home I had a coffee, a slice of corned beef and some plums. We watched some cycling and I knitted while I was watching it. I had a shower, washed my hair and then cooked dinner. We had pork slices, broccoli, potatoes and lovely field mushrooms. I weighed myself this morning as usual on a Thursday and I gained 1.2 lbs this week😡. I think it’s because I haven’t biked enough this week and the few miles I have done weren’t fast enough! Now H says he is not cycling tomorrow, he is saving himself for Saturday when he is going for a ride with our son in law. I will have to try to go out on my own but I don’t enjoying it.

Wednesday work.
I was up before 6 and made a pot of tea and had egg and courgette for breakfast. I packed cheese and tomato for my lunch with a bottle of water. I made the bed, dressed etc. packed my bag and went to work. I had to pick the tomatoes first which took almost 2 hours. Next it was 30 bunches of beetroot, 12 bunches of purple carrots and 96 bunches of orange carrots. The carrots were a treat to pick because the boss watered them yesterday and I could pull them up without forking them. Andy came to pick them up and then give me a lift to the leek bed and I trimmed leeks for the last 45 minutes. On the way home I went to the chicken farm for eggs. When I got home I had a coffee, a biscuit and a slice of corned beef. I had a bath and made a cup of tea then I cooked dinner. Potato wedges, sausages, eggs and tomatoes. I have to work again tomorrow.

Damp Tuesday.
I got up at 6 after laying there awake for ages. I put on a load of washing and had my breakfast. We had a coffee and I hung out the washing. I did a bit of knitting after I had vacuumed downstairs. H’s sister Dot rang for a chat but we had to cut it short because we were going to Holt and then to Sheringham. The weather was fine when we left home, I checked the weather forecast on my phone and it said no rain here till 4pm. So I left my washing out because we planned to be home by 2 for the cycling. When we got to Holt it began to rain!! We went to Bakers and Larners where we had a fruit scone with butter and jam and a coffee. Next we went to the cloths department where I bought a dress and jacket for our granddaughters wedding. Next was the footwear department and I bought a lovely pair of shoes they are so comfortable, I like them better than my outfit. We walked back to the car in the rain which was getting heavier and drove to Sheringham where H treated us to fish and chips and a cup of tea. We went to Holland and Barrett for some peanut butter and some cod liver oil capsules and then back to the car and home, just calling in at the garden centre for grass seed and bird seed. By the time we arrived home it was really pouring, I got my washing in straight away but even with the rain it was only damp and only took 15 minuites in the tumble drier. We had a gin and tonic and watched La Vuelta. For tea we just had a cheese scone and a packet of kettle crisps with a cup of tea. Our fish and chips were delish! I have had a nice day. Tomorrow I have to work.

Monday.
I got up just before 6 and had my breakfast. I packed my lunch, made the bed, dressed, sorted my bag and went to work. I had to do 25 bunches of radishes first, it took ages because they are past the best. Then 7 bunches of golden beetroot, 10 bunches of purple beetroot, 48 bunches of carrots, a box of loose carrots and then leeks. I trimmed 3 boxes and then Andy came for me and we had to go and trim 4 boxes of turnips. By the time it was done it was 12.25 so we washed everything and Andy went for his lunch while I weighed and packed everything. When I got home H had spread some soil on our front lawn and raked it all over so it is ready to be seeded. Hopefully we will pop out tomorrow at some point and get some grass seed. Andrew, from work, was on holiday last week and this morning he gave us all a holiday present, a box of clotted cream fudge. When I got home I shared it out between H and myself and then I sat and ate all mine then I felt sick! For dinner we had pizza with a bowl of fried tomatoes on the side, followed by cold stewed plums and yogurt. I have to go to work again till Wednesday. This afternoon was a rest day in La Vuelta and the tour of Britain is over so no cycling. So I went outside and filled my garden rubbish bin.

Sunday.
I got up just after 6 and put on a load of washing. I sat and read till H began to move about upstairs then I made a pot of tea and had my breakfast. I hung out the washing and when I came in my coffee was waiting for me. I dressed and pulled a few weeds out of the garden. I sat down with my book after I had finished dusting and at 9.30 we got ready to go out on our bikes. We went blackberrying so it was very slow because a lot of it was walking about and climbing over hedges etc. 10.8miles).It was great fun and we got loads. I have washed them, they are draining and then I shall freeze them so I can use them when I like. Got lunch we had a coffee and a salmon sandwich. H also had a bowl of corn flakes but I had some of Friday’s plums. I got he washing in, dry again. H has just put La Vuelta on tv and I will watch it because it’s in an area where we have been on holiday. For dinner tonight we are having roast chicken with all the trimmings, (roast potatoes, batter puds, carrots, mash, broccoli and gravy). It’s stewed plums and custard for dessert . I have to work tomorrow but I don’t mind at all I enjoy my short days.

Thursday..
I got up at 6.15!,! H was up and had made the tea. I had my breakfast, dressed for work, made the bed and got ready to go. I got to the end of our road and a warning pinged, so I stopped and checked it out. H had checked the water levels in the radiator and screen wash and had not closed the bonnet properly. I had to do 18 bunches of radishes, 18 bunches of beetroot, then I did 18 bunches of golden beetroot but I was only supposed to do 15 bunches!! Next it was 14 bunches of purple carrots and 50 bunches of orange carrots plus a box of loose ones. I did all that before Andy joined me. We took them down to the yard and while cut some fennel I bunched 24 spring onions. We then drove to the leek bed and trimmed a box each before washing everything. He then went for his dinner break and I packed and weighed it all and it was my home time. I had a coffee and a corned beef and tomato salad. We watched both cycle races( I fell asleep!) when I woke up H ran me a bath and then I cooked dinner. We had smoked haddock, potato wedges and baked beans with a peach for my dessert. I don’t have to work again till Monday.
This morning was my weigh in day ( I forgot last week!) So 2 weeks ago I weighed 139.8 lbs today it was 138.4 lbs so I am still moving in the right direction be it slowly.

This made it a nice busy day and then the time flew by. When I got home I had a coffee, a slice of corned beef, and some plums. We watched the tour of Britain and also la Vuelta, I had a nice soak in the bath and then cooked dinner. We had pork and apple burgers, eggs, tomatoes and chips. Tuesday.
I got up at 7!!!!! I had been awake for ages but I was reading in bed. I put on a load of washing and then had my breakfast. H made us a ‘proper’ coffee and got the bikes out and the lawn mower. I hung out the washing and did a bit of house work and started on the ironing when H said it was time to get ready to go out on our bikes. I unplugged the iron and when we were ready we went out. We went to Aylsham bank and home again. We went to Attlebridge along the track and then to Cawston via Swannington and on to Hayden and Aylsham. On the way home we went via Marsham with a bit of off road and then to Cawston, Felthorpe and home. ( 26.8 miles) . It was really nice. When we got home H mowed the front lawn, I prepared lunch (cheese and tomato sandwiches) with coffee. When we had done H cut the back grass. I picked 24 tomatoes in our garden this morning, that’s the fourth lot. We watched the tour of Britain, had a shower and then watched la Vuelta. For dinner we had fish pie with buttered cabbage. Tomorrow I am back at work and H has a Spanish lesson. He will be able to go in the car because I will be home in time for him to have it.

Monday.
I got up at 5.30, put my usual load of washing on and had my breakfast. I packed my lunch, made my Bed, dressed etc, hung out the washing and went to work. I had to do 25 bunches of radishes, each bunch has 15 radishes in so that was a lot of radishes! 25 beetroot, 5 in each bunch, 12 bunches of purple carrots, 9 in each bunch and 30 bunches of orange carrots,8to10 in each bunch. Andy arrived as I finished the last bunch. We then picked a box of loose carrots and he gave me a lift ti the leeks. I had just trimmed 4 boxes when he came back and said that would be enough. I had to go with him to trim 10 sacks of turnips and fold up a huge strip of fleece. After that we went back to the yard to wash and pack it all and my time at work was over. My bosses wife gave me 3 huge field mushrooms, they were each as big as tea plates. When I got home I had a coffee and a slice of corned beef. We watched the tour of Britain which was good but the cameras failed with about 7k to go which spoilt it. For dinner tonight we had sausages, eggs, tomatoes and the lovely mushrooms. I don’t have to go to work tomorrow so I expect I will do a bit of gardening.

Saturday.
We managed to lay in bed till 6.10 this morning!! I think it’s because it’s cooler. We both had a great sleep. I put on a load of washing and had my breakfast, eggs and courgette. We then had a proper coffee and I got on with the housework. I hung the washing out and H went up to ride 100 k on the turbo trainer and I went out to get a thing to stand the second wedding cake on. I also called at the chemist and the garden centre. When I got back I made some plum jam and then the third wedding cake tier. H finished his ride and we had lunch, coffee and a cheese and tomato roll. I put my jam into jars and sat in the garden with a glass of wine. H called me in when there was 20 k to go in he bike race and I couldn’t bother to go out again. I had a shower and cooked dinner , we had steak with mixed veg and chips.
