Tuesday (work)

I got up at 5.30 and put some wet washing into the tumble drier. I had eggs for breakfast with my mug of tea. I packed my cheese, tomato and bottle of water and sat and read my book till 7 am. I washed and dressed etc. and got ready to go to work. I had to walk to leeks and trim them till 10 oclock when Andy came to give me a lift bact to the shed for our break. When that was over we had to go to the turnip bed and trim 6 boxes of turnips, it took us ages to fill 6 boxes because they are so small. We moved to leeks after that and trimmed them till 12.30 when we went back to the yard to wash everything. By the time it was all done it was my home time. When I got home H made me a coffee and we had a mince pie. I also had a banana. I read a bit of my book and then had a shower and got ready to go to the dentist. I had 2 fillings I didnt need an injection because they were only small but it still cost me £156.10 daylight robbery, but has to be done. When I got home H made a pot of tea and we had our tea, H had poached eggs on toast and I had cheese on toast. I had an apple and an orange as well. I have to work again tomorrow.

Monday

I got up at 5.50, made a pot of tea and cooked 2 eggs for breakfast. I packed my snack for work and then washed up all the things that wouldnt go into the dishwasher last night because H threw a hissy fit and told meI had to cook less so I didnt mess so much up!,! hes lost the plot!! As soon as he was up I brought the dyson downstairs and vacumed all the way through. I dressed, packed my work bag and went to work in the rain. I had to pick 15 bunches of beetroot, 5 bunches of purple carrots and 36 bunches of carrots. when that was done I packed cauliflowers for Andy 8 crates. Next we had to drive to turnips and trim 1 box. We went back to the yard and had to wash and pack the turnips and the beetroot so the boss could diliver and we had our break. By then the rain had stopped and the sun was out. After break I had to walk to leeks and I trimmed them till 12.50. Andy had joined me and by the time we went down we had 12 boxes. We just had to get 4 celeriac on our way to the yard. When I got home H made me a coffee and he also had a mince pie waiting for me. This afternoon I started a new book, had a bath and cooked dinner. We had sausages, mushrooms, eggs, baked beans and potato wedges with brown sauce. Work again tomorrow.

Sunday. (Snow)

I got up at 6.50 ang H had made the teaso he poured me a cup. I made myself a bowl of porridge for breakfast and then we had a coffee. I put on a load of washing but didnt hang it out out because, first it was raining, then sleeting and finally it was snowing. It didnt lay because everywhere is so wet but we had snow flurries on and off all day. I took some chicken out of the freezer fot dinner tonight and got ready to turbo. I hadnt been on long when H brought up the phone and it was our eldest son ringing to ask how we are. When we had finished our conversation I carried on with my ride. I did 22.6 miles averaging 17.2 mph. When I finished I made us a coffee and we had it with a hot mince pie and cream.I also had a banana. This afternoon we watched a film, it was called Inside man and was very good. I cooked dinner and also had a bath. Dinner was chicken with carrots cabbage and mashed potato with lots of gravy. Now I am going upstairs to watch S C D results while His down here watching another film. Its 2 degrees at the moment and hasnt been much above that all day. I hope its a bit warmer tomorrow because I will be outside in the field pulling up leeks and digging up carrots etc.

Saturday.

We both got up at 6.15 and had our breakfast. H had prunes with yogurt then toast and I had eggs. We both had a cup of tea. As soon as we had done we got ready to go to Asda. H filled the car with petrol while I did the shopping. When we got home H made the coffee while I unpacked and put everything away.We had a jam and cream do nut with it. I emptied the dishwasher and tidied the kitchen etc. I was raining so I couldnt go out on my bike so I changed my mind and decided to make a Christms after all. I thought it might help me get into the spirit of Christmas because I am not really feeling it this year yet. The cake has turned out well and it must have worked a bit because I got my Christmas cards out and began to write some of them, I have done almost a quarter.As it was such a horrible day I made some soup for lunch which was very tasty. It was mainly black kale, with half a potato an onion,carrot, half a turnip and a vegie cube. I had stilton crumbled into mine but H doesnt lie it, he loved the soup and had a second bowl. After my shower I cooked dinner, we had haddock, chips and corn on the cob with ice cream for pud. We also had a rum and coke! It was so nice we had another! I think its the first time I have ever bought rum!!

Friday (grim workday)

Once again I overslept! I woke up at 6.30, I put on a load of washing, had my eggs and a mug of tea, packed a tomato, a slice of cheese and a bottle of water. I dressed etc and it was time for me to leave. It was 3 degrees when I got to work with a nasty wind. We were all frozen. We all (3)had to go together and pick 25 boxes of kale, 15 curly and 10 black. None of us could feel our fingers. Next it was 4 boxes of parsnips and 6 boxes of loose carrots. We took it all to the yard and it was 10.05. We had our break (my water was so cold I couldnt drink much). After break I had to help wash the carrots and parsnips and then walk to the beetroot and pick 30 bunches, it was still pouring with rain. When I had done them I walked to leeks and trimmed them till 12.30. The men joined me around midday so I got a lift back to the yard. We then washed all the leeks and I packed some up till home time. I was pleased to get home. H made me a coffee and as he had mde a loaf of bread I had the crust buttered for lunch. I just sat all afternoon doing nothing till it was time to get dinner. We had lamb butterfly chops with potato wedges and black kale. We had bananas with squirty cream and maple syrup for pud. I hope its all warmed up a bit by Monday.

Thursday dentist.

I got up at 6.35, made a pot of tea, put yesterdays washing into the tumble drier and cooked 2 eggs and had my breakfast. I had just finished my pint mug of tea when I picked up my diary and realised its my weigh in day. T here was no way I would do it after I had eaten my breakfast so I will have to try to remember next Thursday. The sun was shining and it looked like a beautiful day so when H got up I told him I was going to get ready to go out on my bike right away. He made us a coffee while I went up and washed and dressed in my lycra.I came down, drank my coffee and went to get my bike out of the garage only to find it had begun to rain! I thought I would hang on and see if it stopped so I started a new book. It kept raining on and off so I gave up, changed and we had another coffee. When it was time for H to have hid skype spanish lesson I want upstairs and vacumed, dusted etc. I also did all the ironing up to date. For lunch we had toast, I butter and marmite on mine and H had a toasted cheese sandwich. As soon as I had eaten mine I decided to ride in the pain cave. I rode for an hour and did 17.8 miles so at least I had a bit of exersize. This afternoon I had a dental appointment (check up) She asked if I had any problems and I said I had 2 fillings that had fallen out. I was luckly because dental appointments are like hens teeth, hard to come by but they had had a cancelation next Tuesday afternoon so I can get my teeth fixed before Christmas. When we got home I cooked dinner, duck legs with roast potatoes, carrots and leeks. As soon as I had eaten mine I went upstairs because H is having some sort of skype spanish Christmas party!,!

Wednesday

I cant believe I overslept this morning! I didnt get up till 6.42. I had eggs and tea for breakfast, packed my tomato, cheese and water, washed and dressed and went to work. I had to go with Andy and we bunched tomatoes first, then I bunched beetroot while A cut cabbages. We went to the yard and washed the carrots and beetroot and had our break. After break I had to walk back to leeks and trim them till Andy came for me. On the way back to the yard we had to dig up and trim 25 celeriac. It was time for me to go home and I dont have to go tomorrow thank goodness, I am so tired. H made me a coffee and we had a mince pie. I did nothing all afternoon, I couldnt even be bothered to read a book. We watched tipping point, had our baths and I cooked dinner. It was spaghetti bolognase.

Tuesday

I got up at 5.35 cooked 2eggs, made a pot of tea and had my breakfast. I packed my usual snack and read my book till it was tim to dress and go to work. I was sent to trim leeks straight away and did that till coffee break. After break Andy and I had to finish off the leeks that had been lifted and then move to turnips and trim 4 boxes. This took till noon when we went back to the yard to wash and pack them. When I got home H made me a coffee and I had it with a mince pie. I didnt do much all afterrnoon because I am too tired. We watched tipping point, had a shower and I cooked dinner. We had chicken,ham and leek pie with potato wedges and peas. Fruit for pudding. I have to work again tomorrow! I should sleep well.

Monday

I got up at 5.30 and put on a load of washing. Ihad eggs and a mug of tea for breakfast and packed a tomato and some of cheese for my break. When the washing was done I hung it out and the next minuit it began to rain! I left it out because it looked as if it wasnt going to be much. I sat and read a bit of my book till it was time for me to go to work. I had to do 20 bunches of beetroot which took ages because the leaves are all dying off. Next it was 7 bunches of purple carrots and then 72 bunches of carrots. Andy joined me when he had cut the cabbages, cauliflowers and sprouting broccoli.We took it all back to the yard and washed everything before having our break.After break we had to pick 12 boxes ofcurly kale, 7 boxes of black kale, 2 boxes of parsnips,and then leeks till home time.When I left off the boss asked if I could work again tomorrow. H made me a coffee and I had it with a mince pie. I got my washing in at 2.15 and to my suprise it was dry! We watched tipping point, had our baths and dinner, salmon with jacket potatoes, mushy peas and mushrooms, a magnum lolly for pud. I roasted some chestnuts as well but after I turned the grill off I forgot to take them out and they came out like little rocks!

Sunday.

I got up at 7 so that was a nice lay in. I dried yesterdays washing in the tumble drier because this morning its raining. I had eggs for breakfast and we had a small coffee arter I had drunk my tea. I emptied the dishwasher and tumble drier, did the ironing and dusted downstairs. When the rain stopped I went out and planted my tulip bulbs. I fed my indoor plants and we had another coffee. H went up to have a ride in the pain cave for an hour so I did a bit more work in the garden. He tapped on the window when he had finished and I went in and made us a cuppa soup and a hot mince pie with squirty cream. I didnt bother to go out again because we had some more showers. We watched a film and had our baths and dinner. Steak pie, potatoes cabbage and carrots, ice cream for pudding.

Saturday

I got up at 5.45 and had eggs for breakfast. I went to wake up H at 6.15 but as I started up the stairs he opened the door. I put on a load of washing and poured the tea. Next I went up to dress ready to go shopping. H said he didnt feel too good so I told him I would go on my own. After Asda I went to M and S food and bought a nice pizza for dinner tonight which we will have with salad, a couple of chicken ham and leek pies, and some cheese straws. When I got home I unpacked, put everything away, hung out the washing and we had a coffee and an egg custard. I sat and read my magazine, sent an email to my brother in New Zealand abd then began to get ready to go out on my bike. I got it out of the garage, filled my water bottle and off I went. A year ago todat rode what we call our 26 so I decided I would do it again ( more or less) I really enjoyed the ride and wasnt trying too hard, I stopped several times because I was looking for Cawstons village sign. I asked a few of the locals but some didnt have a clue, one sent me in the wrong direction but I finally found it. Sas yoy can see I did a fair bit of messing about. Now a year ago our average mph was 13.2 and that is what I did today on my own so I am well chuffed. when I got home. we had coffee with a hot mince pie and squirty cream then later red wine with cheese straws. I had a shower when I got home and I got the washing in so I wont be doing much else till its time for me to go upstairs to watch S C D. I have a very nice day. H is feeling a bit better than he was this morning.

Friday

Today is black friday and for the last few years I have met my daughter in the City and I have always had a lovely day. First we used to have coffee and mince pies then we would shop till lunch time, put our shopping and then have lunch. Her 2 girls would join us and the year before last it was also our great granddaughter. Last year we cancled because of covid and today I had to work I would have taken it off but as I wont be working much longer I have to make the most of every day. Next year I hope we can go again and are able to meet up for lunch again with an added male, our great grandson. I had to pick 62 bunches of beetroot and then trim leeks. The men picked me up when it was coffee break and next I had to pick the tomatoes, I cant remember picking them in the middle of November before, we have normally pulled the plants up by now and cleared the glass house. When I had finished them I walked back to the leeks and trimmed them till 12.30 when we all went down to wash and pack them. When I got home H made me a coffee and cut the crust off the loaf he had just made and was still warm and I had it spread with butter.yum. We watched a film, had a cup of tea, watched tipping point and had a shower, i washed my hair and we had dinner, chicken curry.

Thursday

I got up just before 7, H was up and had made the tea. I made myself a bowl of porridge, poured a mug of tea and had my breakfast. We also had a proper coffee. After I was dressed I went outside and put some more garden rubbish in our brown bin which is being emptied tomorrow. When I came back in we had an instant coffee and I went upstairs, changed into my cycle gear, H set the turbo trainer up for me and I had a short ride. I did 15.1 miles and my average was 17 mph. When I had finished I had a shower, some cream crackers and cheese for lunch and we got ready to go and see out new baby great grandson. He is beautiful. We didnt stay long because I think our granddaughter is pretty tired. At the moment he has got his days and nights the wrong way round so she isnt getting any sleep.When we got home I read some of my book, vacumed upstairs and the stairs before cooking dinner. We had chinese chicken, chips and peas cooked in the air frier. I had a bit of a problem because we had a power cut so it went off and I wasnt sure how long it had been going for, so when I reset it it was guess work but I struck lucky and both chicken and chips were perfectly cooked. Its work for me tomorrow.

Wednesday work.

I got up at 5.45after an awful nights sleep H has got vertigo and is so dizzy so most of the night I was listening for him to get up and I didnt want him to fall down the stairs. I had eggs for breakfast, packed cheese and tomato for lunch, put on a load of washing and got ready to go to work. I had to go with Andy and we had to pick 52 bunches of beetroot and then leeks till break, we had trimmed 7 boxes of leeks. After break I had to bunch carrots till home time, Andy joined me around midday. We did 192 bunches and I had to fork them all up because the soil is drying out. When I got home I made H and me a coffee and toasted us both a hot cross bun. I got the washen in and it was almost dry! We watched tipping point, had our baths and then dinner, yesterdays leftover stew. Tomorrow we are going to see our great grandchildren.

Tuesday

I got up at 6.15,made a pot of tea and cooked 2 eggs for my breakfast. Because I dont have to work we had a coffee. I hung out yesterdays washing because the sun was shining and it was a lovely morning. At 9 oclock H and I got ready and went to the City. He went to his bank and I went to mine. I bought my 2022 diary and we came hime again. One of my hearing aids has stopped working so next time I go to the City I will take it in and see if it can be repaired. I will go on my own and have a nice wander around, H is not into shopping. When we got home we had a coffee and a banana and got ready to go out on our bikes. We all went down the track as far as Whitwell station and back again. Its as far as H wanted to go and we were glad to get him out for s bit of exersize. When we got home we had a cup of tea and a bowl of roast chestnuts. I made a beef stew for dinner which was quite tasty, a pound and a half of stewing steak from my butcher which was so tender. Our son is leaving this evening because he has to work tomorrow and so do I. On thursday H and I are going to see our new great grandson. Icant wait.

Monday

I got up at 5.45, put on a load of washing, made a pot of tea and had my breakfast. (eggs). I packed my snack, tomato cheese and water. I got ready for work and then read my book till it was time for me to go. We werent very busy, I had to do 25 bunches of beetroot, 6 bunches of purple carrots and 48 bunches of orange ones. Then I joined Andy on kale, 10 boxes of curly and 2 boxes of black. We took everything to the yard and had our break. After that we washed and packed everything, (Andy dropped a celeriac on my head! It weighed almost a kilo! ) I had to walk to leeks and trimmed them for the rest of the morning. The boss said I dont have to go in tomorrow! When I got home H made me a coffee. I sat all afternoon till it was time to prepare dinner. We had a mixed grill, sausages, venison burgers, gammon, fried onions, eggs, potato wedges and sweet potato wedges, it was yummy. Dessert was apple and cream. I have felt so much better today! The gland in my neck is almost back to normal, my lag has stopped colapsing and my stomach has settled down. It amazes me that putting a thin layer of cream on my nose could cause such dammage to the rest of my body!

Sunday.

I didnt post yesterday because I was unwell. I had awful stomach cramps and a swollen gland on the left side which was so bad I could hardly open my mouth! I was up all night with an upset stomach which still isnt right! I also felt dizzy and light headded. I then checked the possable side effects of my chemical peel medication. and it said if you have any of these problems contact your doctor imediatly abd the first one on the list was diarrhoea! They had given me a number to ring if I had problems so I did. They were very good, spoke to a doctor and got back to me. They told me to stop using the cream straight away and I have to go back to the hospital in the new year. I havent eaten much today but I have drunk loads. Already my neck is feeling a bit better so I hope I will be fit for work tomorrow. Dinner tonight was phesent and lamb with roast squash, roast sweet potatoes and leek. Mashed potato, cauliflower, broccoli, carrots and gravy. We had ice cream for pudding. Our son worked on his van this morning and went for a run this afternoon. I have done nothing much.

Friday ( day 10 of my chemical peel)

I got up at 5.35 and put yesterdays washing in the tumble drier. I had my breakfast, I had to have 3 eggs because the first 2 I put in the pan the yolks broke! I packed my lunch and read a bit of my book till it was time to get ready to leave for work. I had to pick 12 bunches of beetroot, 18 bunches of purple carrots and then 10 boxes of curly kale. We were just about to go down to wash and pack everything (it was pouring with rain) when Andy, his partner Sonia and their dog Lou Lou all walked up the field. He is on holiday this week and had brought their new dog to show us. They were going to walk round the field but it was so wet they cut it short. Andrew and I washed and packed everything and put it in the van for the boss to deliver and then had our break. After break Andrew went off to do a gardening job and I walked back up the field to trim leeks. I did 10 boxes. I went to the butchers on the way home. When I got home H said our youngest granddaughter was about to come round, he made me a coffee a she was here before I had drunk it. When she left I cleaned the downstairs cloakroom. She was off to see her brand new nephew when she left us our first great grandson. We hope to see him on Thursday. I made a pot of tea and we watched tipping point. I had a bath and washed my hair. This is day 10 of my chemical peel and my nose and cheeks are looking rather blotchy. However its not too uncomfortable yet. Just another 18 days to go.

Thursday ( day 9 of chemical skin removal)

I got up at 6.30 and had my breakfast.H was up so as soon as I had drunk my tea he made the coffee. Today our granddaughter was going into hospital for a C section and I couldnt settle into doing anything! When H went for his spanish lesson he dropped me off at our daughters and picked me up on his way back. While I was there our granddaughter and her husband came round to leave their daughter on their way to the hospital. This was around 10 oclock and we thought she was under the knife at 1.30. But she wasnt seen till after 3 oclock the wait for her must have been awful but worth it because they now have a beautiful son as well as a dear little daughter. On our way home we went to our favourite chip shop and had fish and chips for lunch, so yummy. Washed down with a can of shandy. We didnt want any tea but we had a cuppa and a mince pie complements of our daughter. TOMORROW I AM AT WORK AGAIN.

Wednesday

Igot up at 5.20, put on a load of washing and had my breakfast. I packed my work snack and dressed ready for work. I sat and read till it was time to go. I was really busy at work, I had to do 50 bunches of beetroot, 12 bunches of purple carrots and 192 bunches of carrots. That is 254 bunches of things 254 pieces of string I had to cut and 254 knots I had to tie. I have to say my poor hands are quite swollen and my thumbs have gone numb. When I got home H made me a coffee and I had a banana and a bun. I just sat all afternoon because I am so tired. We watched tipping point, I had a bath but H had had a shower after his ride on the turbo. Dinner was liver with fried leek, garlic, new potatoes and peas.I roasted us some chestnuts for us and they were nice. Tomorrow our granddaughter is going into hospital to have her second child, they have a daughter and tomorrow she will have a baby brother, our second great grandchild. l wish her all the luck in the world and hope she is soon home again. No work for me tomorrow, the boss had a word with me when I left off and said I wont have to work for 4 days much longer and next week might be my last Tuesday so I will look forward to extra days off.

Tuesday

I got up at 5.35 and had my usual breakfast. I packed cheese and cucumber and sat and read fot a bit till it was time to wash and dress ready to go to work. H put on a loaf of bread. when I got to work the boss asked me if I would take my lunch with me! I was trimming leeks from 8 till 12.30 when I had to go down to the yard to help wash them. I sat on a box in the middle of the leek field eating my cheese and cucumber! He is so tightht didnt want to pay me to walk back from the shed after break! When I got home H made me a coffee and as his loaf smelt so good I had the crust spread with butter for my lunch. After lunch I went into the garden and half filled my brown garden rubbish bin. When I went in I made a pot of tea and we had tea and bisciuts while watching tipping point. We had our baths and then dinner, spaghetti bolognase. We havent had it for ages and it was nice. Today is day 7 of my chemical burn and I am beginning to see the red burnt look they warned me about. Tomorrow I am working again but I have done enough leeks ao tomorrow is beetroot and carrots.

Monday

I got up at 5.30, put on a load of washing and had my breakfast. I packed cheese and cucumber for my snack, plus my bottle of water. I hung out the washing, made my bed , dressed and got ready to go to work. The car was frozen up again but H cleared it for me so I could leave at my usual time. I had to pick 12 bunches of beetroot, 10 bunches of purple carrots and 48 bunches of carrots. Andrew came and picked me and my veg up, took us to the yard and we washed and packed it all so the boss could go out and deliver it all. I packed some leeks and we had our break. As soon as that was over I had to go back to the field and trim leeks forthe rest of the morning. When I got home no 1 son was there, he had come to visit his dad. H made me a coffee and I had one of my cocoanut and choc chip buns, nice. When our son left we watched tipping point, had our baths and then dinner. It was cod mornay with cauliflower and potatoes I made some extra cheese sauce which was yummy. Today is day 6 of my ' chemical burn ', so far I have not felt it at all but I think its starting to redden up a bit. I have to work again tomorrow.

Sunday, a good day..

I got up ar around 6.30 and put on a load of washing. I had eggs for breakfast with my big mug of tea. I hung the washing out when it was done and H made the coffee. I sat and finished my book and sew up my knitting. I cooked some beetroot, emptied the dishwasher and put everything away. H had already taken the bikes out of the garage befote I was even up! The wind was really strong and I dont think H wanted to go out, he said to me, do you really want to go out this morning? Yes I said I am looking forward to it! So he didnt say any more. I changed and was compleatly ready and waiting before he went up to put his cycle gear on. we were going to do a' long one' but it was sooooo windy and really hard work, H said we will cut it a bit short and I cant say I was sorry. However we both enjoyed it.An extra bonus was a huge phesent laying in the road having just been hit by a car. The poor thing was dead but still warm and not a mark on him. H managed to get it in his back pack with the legs sticking up in the air. Its the biggest one we have ever had. I didnt pluck it I sliced the skin of the breast open and sliced the the breast off and cut our the legs. I got all my washing dry, we had a coffee and cheese and biscuits for lunch. My beetroot had cooled so I sliced them up and covered it in vinegar. For dinner we had quiche with mushrooms and garden peas, ice cream for pudding. I have just spread the cream on my nose again, its day five of twenty eight!

Saturday

H came in and woke me up at 6.15 and by the time I came downstairs he had poured my tea and sliced me off a round of bread ready to toast. We had our breakfast and then I washed and dressed and we went to Asda for our weekly shop. When we got home I unpacked and put everything away while H made the coffee. I sat and read my magazine and then after I had vacumed downstairs I made some cocoanut and choc chip buns. While they were baking I got my bike out of the garage and changed into my cycle gear so I could go for a ride. I made us a coffee and H told me not to go too far because he will go out with me tomorrow for a longer ride. He is going to use a road bike so its harder for me to keep up on my mountain bike. when I got home he had made a huge bowl of pop corn! So we had it for lunch with a glass of red wine. We had a shower and I cooked dinner, steak pies with potatoes cauliflower, carrots and leek. Now I am watching S C D.

Friday .

Igot up at 5.30, put on a load of washing and made a pot of tea. Ihad 2 eggs for breakfast and packed a slice of cheese and a tomato for work.I hung out my washing, dressed and got ready to go to work. I had to trim leeks till coffee break and after break pick the tomatoes. I had picked them all by 11.40 so the boss said I could go home! H was suprised to see me.H made me a coffee and I had a banana. I got my washing in and it was dry which is a bonus. I didnt do much this afternoon because I am so tired. We watched tipping point, had our baths, I washed my hair and then cooked dinner. We had burgers, sausages, bacon, fried leeks, eggs and potato wedges. We also had roast chestnuts again. After dinner I treated my nose with the cream so thats day 3 done and dusted. Tomorrow we are going shopping first thing and I hope the weather is good so we can go for a bike ride.

Thursday y

I didnt get up till 7.30! It was an amazing sleep. H poured me a mug of tea and as soon as I had drunk it he made me a coffee. I had eggs for breakfast. After I was dressed I emptied the vacum cleaner and vacumed upstairs. H was having a spanish lesson this morning so I sat and knitted till he left then I went to the pain cave ( from now on I have changed its name to the torcher chamber!) It was so bad, I really struggled to keep pedaling at 10 miles an hour where I used to average over 18 miles without even trying. I only managed to do 10 miles and I felt so ill I thought I was going to faint. When H got home I told him about it and said I would never use it again but he said he thinks it might be ok next time so I might try it once more. I managed to do a bit in the garden and filled my brown garden bin ready for collection. We had a cup of tea while watching tipping point, had our baths and then dinner. Chicken bacon and sausage wraps with potatoes, curly kale, romanesque, leek, cauliflower and gravy. We had some roast chestnuts as well. Its work again for me tomorrow..

Wednesday

It was 2 degrees when I got up, I put on a load of washing and had my eggs for breakfast. I packed my snack for work, dressed, hung out the washing and got ready to go to work. Its the first time I have worked 3 mornings in a row for ages, I have tomorrow off but have to go again Friday. Today at work it was loose carrots, bunched carrots, bunched beetroot, loose parsnips and a whole load of washing and packing them all. when I got home H hadnt got the washing in before the pouring rain and it was wetter than it was when I put it out. We had a coffee and I had a babana. We watched tipping point, had our baths and I cooked dinner, cod and chips with baked beans and mayo. It was nice. On monday I went to the and collected the cream I have bee prescribed to burn the dead skin off my nose and this evening I spread some on to my nose and now I have to do it every day for the next 27 days. For dinner we had fish and chips with baked beans and mayo.It was nice, and I cooked loads of chips. I also roasted some chestnuts and now I am stuffed. I am looking forward to my day off tomorrow, its a shame it will probibly be raining.

November 2nd ( yesterday and today)

Yesterday I had to work and harvested carrots, purple carrots, beetroot, fennel paesnips and loads of leeks. when I got home I made son a salad, had a coffee, a slice of corned beef and a banana. After we had eaten son got the bikes out of the garage and he and I went for a ride. Most of it was off road, through woods etc. It was quite hard work for me but I enjoyed it and it was fun in the woods. After my bath I cooked dinner. Jacket potatoes, mushrooms, corn on the cob, peas and mackerel, stewed apple and cream for pud. Today I worked again and had to trim leeks all morning. I had coffee when I got home, made H a chicken sandwich and son a salad I had some chicken and a banana. I made a cottage pie for dinner this evening and we had it with carrots and romanesque. H made a bowl of popcorn for afters. The day before yesterday son beat me 2 nill at crib but last night I beat him 2 nil, he is still the overall winner this weekend. He is now heading home. Tomorrow I have to work again.
