Wedding dress hunting.

I got up at 5.30 and put on a load of washing. I just sat and read my book after that waiting for H to get up which he did at 7.45 then we had our breakfast. I hung out my washing and I hung yesterday's out again because it was rained on yesterday. After that I dressed ready to go to the City. H took me to our daughters and we all went together, daughter, granddaughter and me. We met the bride to be in
'Costa' ( my other granddaughter) and all had a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows and a slice of something delicious before going to our first appointment. She tried on several dresses, all of which looked nice. We went from there to Primark for a look round and then on to giraffe for cocktails and lunch. We all had something different and it was all lovely. From there we went to Debenhams to try bridesmaid dresses on etc. After that we went back to the car, shopping on the way and on to our next appointment at 3pm. The traffic in the City was horrendous but we made it and we're only 6 minutes late! Anyway Christie fitted on 2 more dresses and they both looked nicer on her than any we tried at the first shop. She decided on the second dress which is beautiful and looked as if it was made for her. We then took her home and her fiancé made us a welcome cup of tea then Daugter took me home. I left this morning at 9am and it was exactly 5pm when I got home. H made me a cup of tea and I cooked dinner, new potatoes, cauliflower, peas and pork slices in barbecue sauce. I then had a bath and have come upstairs to watch strictly come dancing.

Friday.

I got up at 6 and woke H up so we could have our breakfast and go shopping. I put on a load of washing and off we went. When we got home we unpacked and put everything away, then we had a coffee and a jam and cream do nut. By the time we had eaten an drunk that it was raining so we hung on before getting ready to go out on our bikes. It had stopped by 10.15 so we got ready and went. We had only been about 4 miles when it began to rain again, however we carried on and just did a short round trip ( 19.8 miles ). The track was very muddy and by the time we got home I was filthy, mud from head to foot. For the last half mile it poured down and we were soaked, it's a good job it's warm. We had a shower, a coffee, a pot noodle and a slice of cake. For dinner tonight we are going to have a vegetarian meal, I  am making a pasta bake with quorn sausages, grated carrot fried onions and a white wine sauce and a shell pasta. It's wedding dress hunting day tomorrow we are all looking forward to it.

Thursday.

I got up at 6.45 and put on a load of washing. I waited for H to get up before having breakfast. We had intended to go out on our bikes this morning but it was pretty wet. I cleaned and tidied the lounge, we had a coffee and then we took down our kitchen blind and put it back up properly because one side had become loose and I was scared to open or close it in case it fell down.
H made a loaf of bread and I made a nice fruit cake. We then went into the passage and trimmed all the long bit of hedge so we don't get wet when we walk past. It was still dull at 10 am so we gave up on cycling and I started a new book while H studied his Spanish. We had cheese and biscuits for lunch and the sun came out so I hung out the washing and by 5.30 it was dry. For dinner tonight we had spaghetti bolognese and I had an apple for pudding. We hope to get a ride in some time tomorrow.

Wednesday.

I got up at 5.30 and put on a load of washing and had my breakfast. I packed 2 sandwiches for my lunch, one lettuce and tomato and the other corned beef and brown sauce. I hung out the washing, made the bed, dressed and went to work. I had to pick 190 bunches of spring onions first then 16 bunches of purple carrots and 84 bunches of orange ones. Next it was 30 bunches of beetroot and 2 boxes of loose carrots where Andy joined me. As soon as they were done we went to the yard and washed and packed everything. It all took till 2 minutes to 4 a nd my home time. When I got home we had a cup of tea and then a bath. For dinner tonight we had jacket potatoes, baked beans and breaded cod. The boss said he won't need me any more till next Monday. Since my dinner I have had a banana, a pear and an apple and I still feel hungry!! H had a glass of wine but I didn't because of all the calories.

Tuesday.

I got up at 6.30, put on a load of washing and then just sat and read tillH got up about half an hour later. We then had our breakfast. I had one slice of toast and he had 2. I couldn't make up my mind weather to have marmite or my homemade jam on mine so I ended up with a half slice of each. We also had a mug of tea and a little later a proper cup of coffee. I watered my outside pots, hung out my washing, made the bed and did a bit of clearing up. H did his Spanish homework. At 9.40 H said he was getting ready to go out on our bikes so I went up and put my cycle gear on and off we went. We had a lovely ride with me getting 2 ' Q O Ms' . When we got back we showered and changed, had an instant coffee and a bacon sandwich before going to one of our favourite pub/restaurants to book a meal on our 58th wedding anniversary and another to treat all our family. We do this because I can't have them all for Christmas any more. There are 12 of us now and it's not only hard work but there isn't really enough room to sit us all now. For dinner tonight we had a fish pie with cabbage and leeks. It's work for me tomorrow.

Monday, 25 September 2017

Monday.

Well it was work today so I got up at 6 and had my breakfast. I packed a small salad for my lunch and a corned beef sandwich. I made the bed, dressed, sorted my bag and went to work. I had to pick 200 bunches of spring onions, 36 bunches of carrots and a box of loose ones. Then I walked to the leeks and trimmed the 2 rows that the boss had lifted. Andy came and took me and my vegetables down tothe yard so we could wash and pack them all. By the time we had done all that it was 3 o'clock so we spent the last hour harvesting squashes. When I got home we had a cup of tea and then I had a nice soak in the bath. For dinner we had pizza with a salad which was nice. I have to go back to work on Wednesday which could be my last day this week.

Sunday, 24 September 2017

Sunday.

We both got up at the same time this morning, I put on a load of washing and H sliced off the bread for toast. We had a huge mug of tea and then a coffee. I hung out the washing and then prepared the fruit we gathered yesterday to make jam. It's turned out well. I vacuumed all downstairs and then made a loaf of bread. I pulled a few weeds out of the garden and then dusted before reading two chapters of my book. H had a turbo ride and when he had done we had an instant coffee and a corned beef sandwich. We watched the world championships cycle race for the senior men and then had a shower and I cooked dinner. We had pork with potatoes, carrots and cauliflower. The lump in my arm has gone down a bit, it's not painful unless I touch it but the bruise is huge. Tomorrow I have to go to work!!!

Saturday, 23 September 2017

Saturday.

I was up first this morning so I made the tea and waited for H to get up and slice off the bread for my toast. After breakfast we went to Asda for our weekly shop after that we went to M & S because it's ' meal deal ' week. Then on to Tesco bacause the other 2 shops don't sell the milk we like. As soon as we got back H made us a coffee while I unpacked and put everything away. After our coffee we got back in the car and went to the doctors for our yearly flu jab. I had mine first and the lady who did it asked which arm? I wasn't bothered so I said either one. She was nearest my right arm so I thought she might as well do that one I tolled up my sleeve and it was done. It took us 4 minutes to get home and by the time we arrived I had a lump on my arm as big as a turkeys egg! It was very painful and a bruise began to form. We had a look at H's arm and we couldn't even find the needle mark? We got ready to go out on our bikes and rode 27.5 miles, half on the track and the rest on the road.
For lunch we had a corned beef sandwich and an instant coffee. We watched a cycle race with a glass of wine, had a shower and I cooked dinner, lasagne and garlic mushrooms. The swelling on my arm has gone down a bit but the bruise has spread over he whole of my upper arm!! The biggest problem is that I sleep on my right side and there is no way I will be able to lay on it so I won't get much sleep tonight.

Friday, 22 September 2017

Friday.

I got up at 6 and put on a load of washing and H got up at 7. We had our breakfast and I hung out the washing then we had a coffee. I baked H some rock cakes and also made a loaf of bread. After that I sat and wrote an email to my brother in New Zealand and another to my sister in law who lives locally. We then had another coffee and watched the junior women's world championship cycle race. We had pilchards and beetroot with a slice of bread and butter for lunch and then I went to the hairdressers for a haircut. When I came out I went to K F C for our dinner!!! We had 3 pieces of chicken and 2 portions of chips each with a drink. We watched another race ( men's ) and had a glass of wine. My washing is dry again. I had time to do a bit of weeding in the garden, the weeds grow so much faster than my plants!

Thursday, 21 September 2017

Thursday.

We got up at 6, I put on a load of washing and H got the bikes out then we had our breakfast. I made the bedand hung out the washing, I read a couple of chapters of my book and at 9.30 we got ready to go for a ride. We went to Walcott, taking the scenic route. At Walcott we stopped at a cafe for a coffee and bacon butties. When we sat there I checked the miles we had done, 33.5 and when we got back home we had done a total of 63.8 so the way we came back was slightly  shorter. The minute we got home w e cha nged and went round to no1 sons because it is his wife's birthday.  We had a nice cup of tea and a chat and when we got home it was wine o'clock. For dinner tonight we had chicken curry.

Wednesday, 20 September 2017

Wednesday

I got up at 5.35 put on a load of washing and had my breakfast. I had made my salad yesterday so I just dressed, made the bed, hung out the washing and got ready to go to work. I had to do 240 bunches of spring onions first then 4 bunches of golden beetroot and 45 purple ones. After that I had to do 4 bunches of purple carrots and then 96 orange ones. After that I had to go to the yard to help wash and pack everything. When that was done I only had half an hour left so I had to go to the greenhouse and pull up all the old cucumber plants and some runner bean plants. When I got home I had a cup of tea and a bath before cooking dinner. We had jacket potatoes, baked beans and smoked cod. I am a bit stiff but nowhere near as bad as Monday! The trouble is I don't have to go in again till next Monday so even though I am pleased I don't have to work any more this week i guess I will be really sore again on Monday.

Tuesday, 19 September 2017

Tuesday.

I got up at 6.30 this morning, I still had a headache so took a couple of pills, put on a load of washing and had my breakfast (1 slice of toast and tea). When it was done I hung out the washing and made the bed while H made us a cup of coffee. He got our bikes out of the garage but we hung on till 9.50 before going out on our bikes. We went to see H's brother Phil who has terminal cancer. When we arrived at his sheltered housing he wasn't in so we went to where they hold ' coffee mornings ' and found him there. They were ll in some monthly meeting so Phil came out and spoke to us but we didn't stay. He is still in no pain. When we left there we had done 8 miles so we cattied on and rode 27 miles altogether, it was lovely but I think H was on a bit of a go slow and didn't ride as fast as I would have liked. When we got back he wiped the bikes down while I made us a coffee and we had a pot noodle with it. We had a shower and then we watched the ' world championships ' woman's time trial, because it was women H promptly fell asleep!! For dinner this evening we are having grilled tomatoes and mushrooms with quiche. We have just had a nice glass of white 🍷. H had red yesterday but I had none, I am trying not to drink too much alcohol 🍺 because I don't want to put on any weight. I have lost 16 pounds since Christmas and would like to loose a bit more if possible. When dinner is over I am going to pack a salad for my tomorrows lunch at work, I have pickled some beetroot, got lettuce, tomatoes, red pepper and spring onions, so I will hard boil an egg and it will be perfect.

Monday, 18 September 2017

Back to work.

I got up at 5.40, put on a load of washing and had my breakfast. I packed 2 cheese and lettuce sandwiches and 2 tomatoes with my bottle of water for lunch and hung the washing out. I dressed, made the bed and went to work. I forgot my phone and my Walkman so I didn't have a good day. I had to do 10 bunches of beetroot, 12 bunches of carrots and 70 bunches of spring onions for the first order, then I had to do another 36 bunches carrots and I was on leeks for the rest of the day. When I got home I had a splitting headache a sore knee and my back is really painful. Thank goodness I don't have to go again till Wednesday. I had a long soak in the bath and my back is a bit better but my head is awful. For dinner we had pork chops with new potatoes, broccoli, leeks and cauliflower.

Sunday, 17 September 2017

Sunday.

We both got up at 6.35 and had our breakfast, then while H was making the coffee i hung yesterday's washing out. He then went out front to clean the car while I cooked some beetroot and put my slow cooker on with some cubed beef and fried onions. I added some vegetables, water and red wine and just left it to cook all day.whenH had finished the car he got the bikes out so we could go for a ride.
( the car looks nice ). We put our cycle gear on and left just after 9am. We had a lovely ride and went to Holt via Hunworth and the horrible hill! There were loads of cyclists on the roads and we saw more bikes than cars!! We rode over 41 miles. We were home again by noon and I got my washing in, all dry. It's a good job I did because a few minutes later we had a shower of rain. We had a coffee and a cheese sandwich for lunch followed by a raspberry bun and a shandy. We sat and watched a bike race ( world champs team time trial ) when it was over I had a soak in the bath before dishing up dinner which was very tasty. Tomorrow I have to go back to the dreaded work!!!

After that I sat and read my book till he finished then I sorted lunch, instant coffee and salmon sandwiches. After that we watched a cycle race in Belgium and then I spent a bit of time weeding the garden but it began to rain again so I had to go in. For dinner tonight we had duck with broccoli, cauliflower and new potatoes, lemon cheesecake for pud.

Last day of hols.

I got up at 6.30 and hung out yesterday's washing. We had our breakfast and a coffee, then I read my book for a while. At 9.20 we went out on our bikes and we were looking forward to a nice long ride. We started off in sunshine but it clouded over much faster than was forecast so we changed our route. We went along a little lane to see if we could find some blackberries for our youngest son who has started on some sort of hunter gatherer regime. We managed to find an ice cream tub full but they are just about over. When we got back we had done almost 17 miles which was enough for us to say we had had our exercise for the day but we would have liked to have gone further. When we arrived back the sky was black but it was still dry even though we saw a huge rainbow. I got my washing in, dry, and then we pruned some shrubs in the garden. After that we had a shower and H took me out to lunch. We had a fabulous meal as the Marsham Arms. Once again we are both too full for any tea, we just had a cuppa and we will have a couple of biscuits with cheese for supper. Tomorrow we will be back to normal as the holiday is over but it's been really great. I am going to study the map and choose some more places I would like to visit.

Thursday, 14 September 2017

Day 3.

I got up at 6.30 put on a load of washing and had my breakfast. I then opened the curtains to find it was raining. So I made the bed, dressed and went into the garden to fill my brown garden rubbish bin because they collect it tomorrow. We had a coffee, I read a chapter of my book, the rain stopped and we got ready to go out. We went to Framlingham castle in Suffolk. It was very interesting and we enjoyed it all. We had a sharing platter for lunch which consisted of chicken, scampi, onion rings and garlic mushrooms on a bed of chunky chips with 3 dips. It was nice, with it we had a coffee and a large glass of white wine. We spent ages walking round the castle, we have so much history in our area. The weather stayed nice so it was our 3rd lucky day in a row. We arrived home at 4.30, had a shower and a cup of tea, then a glass of ginger wine that I bought H at the castle shop. I didn't want any tea I just had an apple. We have no plans for tomorrow, we may go for a bike ride if the weather permits.

Wednesday, 13 September 2017

Day 2 of the hols.

I got up at 6.45 after a lousy sleep. I don't think I had enough exercise yesterday!! We had our breakfast and a coffee, H went up to study and I flicked the duster round before reading 2 chapters of my book. At 10 we went off to Hunstanton (sunny hunny) and we were so lucky because it was. We had a coffee when we first arrived, went for a walk and then at lunchtime we went for fish and chips. It was really windy but warm and sunny and the sea was amazing to watch. The spray was coming right over the promenade and fun to avoid. When we left there we went round the coast to Sheringham where we walked down to the sea but the tide was right in, we had an ice cream and I bought some lovely wool, some lovely dark purple plums, some English apples and some bananas. After that we came home via Cromer where it was still clear and sunny. When we got home we had a cup of tea, a glass of wine, some plums and just a couple of cream crackers because we both still felt stuffed from our huge bit of fish at lunch. I have seen several photos on Facebook from the places we visited today with rain so we feel blessed because we saw no rain at all. I have had a nice relaxing bath so I hope to sleep better tonight. I wonder what tomorrow will bring.

Tuesday, 12 September 2017

Tuesday.

I managed to lie in till 6 and H layed in till 7! We had our breakfast then a coffee and I made the bed, watered the plants, had a quick tidy up and H did an hour of Spanish homework so I started a new book. As soon as he had finished we got ready to go out. First we went to Swafham for some egg and chips with a coffee to keep us going then we went to Castle Acre and Castle Priory. It was so interesting, we thought the priory was amazing and had no idea there would be so much there. On the way home we called in at a small tea shop for 2 cream teas, a perfect end to a fabulous day. So no cooking for me and a nice glass of red wine before my shower and a film. The weather was perfect too. I hope tomorrow goes as well.

Monday, 11 September 2017

Monday.

I got up at 5.40, put on a load of washing and had my breakfast. I hung the washing out, packed my lunch ( salad sandwiches) dressed, made the bed and went to work. I worked my own all day which I like best. I had to do 60 bunches of spring onions, 24 bunches of carrots and 2 boxes of runner beans. After that I had to go back to onions and pick another 70 bunches,24 more bunches of carrots and then I spent the rest of the day trimming leeks. I was in the middle of the field trimming leeks when there was a massive thunder storm! First the wind got up to gale force then the rain started and finally the hail. There was nowhere for me to shelter so I just had to stand with my back to it. Anyway no more work for me till next Monday. When I got back home I had a cup of tea, a bath, a glass of wine then I sorted dinner. We had jacket potatoes, 2 fried eggs and a corn on the cob. I hope to lay in tomorrow.

Sunday, 10 September 2017

Sunday.

I got up at 6.20 and put on a load of washing before having my breakfast. We had a coffee, I read a bit of my book, hung out the washing and then got on with my lroning and when it was all done I put it away and got ready to go out on my bike on my own. I wanted some more blackberries to make some more blackberry whiskey and when we were out yesterday we saw some nice ones, the only trouble is they were 13 miles away. So I went off to pick some and then home again stopping at the crab house on the way for 2 nice crabs. When I got home I cleaned and dresssed the crabs and we had them for lunch. I got the washing in, all dry and we watched the cycle race. ( I rode 26 miles). I had a shower and H made a nice cup of tea. We had pizza for dinner with chips and corn on the cob. I have to work tomorrow because my boss is away but then I am on holiday till next Monday.

Saturday, 9 September 2017

Saturday.

H woke me up at 6.20 so I dressed, came down and had my breakfast. As soon as I had finished and cleaned my teeth etc we went shopping. We had it all done quite quickly and were home again by 8am. I unpacked and put everything away while H got our bikes out of the garage and made us a coffee. I made the bed and changed into my cycle gear ready to go out for a ride. We had a lovely ride although it was a bit sticky in places. We did 33.5 miles and saw a buzzard flying very low across the track, we also saw several voles, mice and rats so there is plenty of food for the raptors. When we got back home H hosed the bikes down while I got lunch, cheese and cucumber rolls with celery. We also had a glass of wine. We sat and watched the ' tour of Britain ' , I had a Beth and we had a cup of tea. I cooked dinner which was nice, Spanish chicken, patatas bravas and peas with lemon cheesecake for pudding. We are watching pointless and when it is over I have to go up to watch strictly come dancing which starts tonight. ( Christmas must be on its way!!!)

Friday, 8 September 2017

Dentist day!

I got up just after 6 and put on a load of washing. We had our breakfast and a coffee then I hung out the washing. It was pretty dull so we decided not to go out on our bikes and I had to go to the dentist this afternoon for a filling. We had a cheese and salad roll for lunch with a coffee. I got to the dentist at 2.20 and came out at 3.06. It's a long while to sit with your mouth open!!! But it was worth it because it has saved my tooth. The dentist said it might be a bit painful until it settles down but the numbness has worn off and I can't feel a thing. When we left there we popped round to see our daughter and granddaughter, we had a cup of tea which helped my mouth 👄. For dinner tonight we had a fish pie with cauliflower, runner beans and broccoli, it w as a nice meal and perfect for me because i didn't want to chew tonight, i will be fine tomorrow.

Thursday, 7 September 2017

Thursday.

I got up at 5.40 and didn't have any washing for a change. I had my breakfast packed 2 of my home made rolls for my lunch filled with cheese and lettuce. I made the bed, dressed and went to work.
I had to do 80 spring onions, a box of runner beans, 25 beetroot and 4 bunches of golden beetroot. I then had to go back to onions for another 40 bunches. After that it was 5 bunches of radishes, the last for this year, 24 bunches of carrots and 8 bunches of purple ones. Lastly a box of tomatoes before I helped Andy to wash everything, pack it and put it all away. It was then 2.15 and there was nothing else for me to do so I had to come home. For dinner tonight we had yesterday's leftover vegetables with chorizo a pasta sauce and pasta, it was tasty. I have to go to work again on Monday so a nice break.

Wednesday, 6 September 2017

Wednesday.

We were up at 5.50, I put on a load of washing and had my breakfast. I hung out the washing and we had a coffee. I made the bed, dressed and did a bit of clearing up because H's sister, husband and brother were all coming to lunch. I put the wine and water in the fridge, made some dough for bread rolls and made the base of the banoffee pie. My bread rolls turned out well. H sliced and fried a huge pan of onions and I prepared the runner beans, peas and potatoes for chips. They all arrived around 12.15 and I asked if they wanted wine, flavoured or plain water, or fruit juice. They all wanted a cup of tea except H who opened the wine. Lunch was at 12.45 and was very nice though I say so myself. Sirloin steak, chips, peas, runner beans, fried onions and buttered rolls. The dessert was yummy and we finished off with cheese and biscuits. H and I thought that his brother, who has pancreatic cancer, looked very well. They all left at 3.45 because they were going to see their great granddaughter who was born the day before yesterday. When they left I cleared the table and stacked the dishwasher. H and I finished the wine, I managed to get a small glass, he had drunk all the rest!!! We are both feeling quite full still so for tea I have made us each a cheese roll. I have to work tomorrow.

Tuesday, 5 September 2017

Tuesday

I didn't get up till 7.15!!! I put on a load of washing and had my breakfast. I watered my pots and made the bed. When the washing was done I hung it out and did a bit of clearing up. I read a chapter of my book and at 10 o'clock I changed into my cycle gear so I could go part of the way with H when he went for his Spanish lesson. It was very dull but warm so I rode in my shorts and t shirt. The wind was quite strong so I decided to go along the track. When I got as far as Reepham the skies opened and I got soaked through to the skin. However it was still warm so I carried on and when I was halfway home the rain stopped and by the time I arrived back I was dry again!! I did 27 miles. H was back before me so we had our lunch,( a bacon sandwich and a cup of coffee. )Then my sister in law rang to tell me she is a great grandmother, her granddaughter has had a baby girl so, as she is coming to lunch tomorrow I have spent the rest of the day knitting a pair of bootees and have just finished them. I had  a break while I cooked dinner, we had breaded cod, new potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower with stewed apple and cream for pud.

Monday, 4 September 2017

Monday.

I got up at 5.50, put on a load of washing and had my breakfast. I packed my lunch ( pork sandwiches with tomatoes and a banana) made the bed sorted my bag etc and went to work. I was going to hang out the washing but it was raining so I left it for H to do when the rain stopped. I had to pick 25 bunches of radishes, 12 bunches of carrots and 150 bunches of spring onions. Andrew was on onions with me. When they were done Andrew left and I then had to pick another 80 bunches and 36 more bunches of carrots before going to trim leeks. I finished all the leeks that had been lifted by 3pm so Andy came up with the tractor and trailer to pick them up and take them to the yard to wash and pack them.  I was lucky because it ment I had a lift too. I had finished everything by 3.47 so the boss said I could go home. Whe n I got home H was surprised to see me! We had a cup of tea. And a bath before I cooked dinner. We had a mixed rice with fried onions, pork, peas and broccoli, it was very tasty. I am not working any more till Thursday, the boss wanted me Wednesday but I can't go in because H has invited his sister, brother in law and brother to lunch and I have to be there to cook it!!!

Sunday, 3 September 2017

First Sunday in September.

I got up at 6.30 and H was already up and had made the tea and sliced the bread so I put on a load of washing and had my breakfast. I hung the washing out when it was done and watered the outside plant pots. When our son got up I asked him if he wanted to go for a bike ride but he said no because he is going climbing this afternoon. I then couldn't be bothered to go on my own! ( H was on his turbo ). We had a coffee and I trimmed a few bushes in the garden. Son and I played 2 games of cribbage and he won them both!! I hate losing!!! For lunch H had a bacon sandwich again and we other 2 had salad. I love salad but it takes me so long to eat it! This afternoon we had a glass of wine and watched the tour of Britain cycle race. For dinner tonight we are having roast pork with roast and new potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. I have bought a pineapple for pudding. I just looked at my tv magazine and noticed Coronation street is on this evening so I will watch that while the men are watching a film. I expect there is rubbish football on in the week! It's work for me tomorrow.

Saturday, 2 September 2017

Saturday.

H came in and woke me up at 6.20, I put on a load of washing, had my breakfast, dressed and went shopping. When we got back H made us a coffee while I unpacked and put everything away. While I was doing that our daughter rang to ask if we were going out on our mountain bikes, yes, so she said she and her husband would come with us. Well it was great, there was our daughter, son in law, no 2 son, hubby and me. We went to Reepham where we had a drink and a bun and then rode home again. There were black clouds all around but we were in full sun for the whole ride. On our way back we came to a really wet patch that had been dry on our way there so we missed a heavy shower. When we got back I got lunch, H had a bacon sandwich while son and I had salad. We had a coffee and later a glass of wine. I had a bath, washed my hair and we watched the tour of Spain. When it was over I made a pot of tea and then prepared dinner. We had beef ribs, chips, peas, runner beans and carrots with strawberries and cream for dessert. It was very nice. Now son and H are watching Alien 👽 so I have come upstairs to watch other rubbish!!

Friday 1st September.

I had an awful sleep so I laid in till 6.30. I put on a load of washing and had my breakfast. We had a coffee and H got the bikes out while I hung out the washing. I made the bed and we got ready to go out on our bikes. We went to Reepham so I could pop into the butchers for some bacon and a pot of their lovely olives. When we got back we had our lunch ( pork pies ) and a coffee and I got ready to go to the dentist while H went for his Spanish lesson. I was home first so I vacuumed downstairs and made some flapjack. It's turned out very nice but I always struggle to get it out of the tin. For dinner tonight we had black pudding, eggs, mushrooms, courgette, baked beans and patatas bravas. No 2 son is coming home for the weekend so I hope it stays nice. I also sorted my kefir ( I think that's what its called) They are raving about it in ' the Archers ' but we have been eating it for months. Tomorrow morning we will do our weekly shop as usual. My washing is all dry again.
