Tuesday.
I got up at 5:30 and made a pot of tea, then I sat and knitted till H got up and we had our breakfast. H then went into the garage to get our folding bikes out and put them into the boot of the car ready for us to go out later. While he was doing that I emptied the dishwasher and put everything away, dusted the lounge and made the bed. WhenH came in he made us a coffee and we got ready to go out. First we drove to Castle Rising and parked at the castle. We went in and looked round and walked all round the outside as well, It was very interesting. Then we took our little bikes out of the boot, assembled them and went for a ride round the village. We found a nice “ olde worlde “ tea shop where we had a pot of tea for 2, ham eggs and chips and a large glass of wine. After that we found a great cycle track that led to the Sandringham estate. It passed through some beautiful countryside and a huge wooded area where we saw some buzzards circling in a clear blue sky. We locked our bikes and walked to the church for a look round then cycled back to the car. On the way back we were going to stop at a little cafe we like for a cream tea but they closed at we got there so I popped into Tesco and bought us each a packet of hula hoops and a cinnamon and pecan slice, yummy. We had them with a cup of coffee, because we won’t need a proper meal this evening. Anyway, we have had a lovely day.
