Saturday.
I had a horrible night, couldn’t sleep. I thought I would lie in, just managed to dose off when H began lumping about, I couldn’t believe the noise he was making. It turned out he was changing the bike on the turbo trainer at 6 o’clock in the morning!! He hadn’t made the tea or had his breakfast!! I was not amused. After breakfast I vacuumed through, dusted etc and then popped to the chicken farm for eggs.when I got back H was on the bike in the bedroom climbing a mountain!! When he had done we had a coffee and I cleaned the cloakroom and swept the kitchen floor. I cleaned the outside of the patio doors, kitchen windows and the kitchen door. Our daughter, son in law and youngest granddaughter all came round for lunch which was nice because they go on holiday tomorrow for 2 weeks. We had pizza and salad, coffee and gin and tonics. We had a game of cards and Othello. H and I watched tv and had a game of scrabble. We had leftover pizza and salad for tea, we both like cold pizza.

Friday.
We got up at 6.20 and had our breakfast. I had a hot cross bun put H had his usual, toast. I put on a load of washing, dressed etc and we went grocery shopping. Now because we always go on Saturdays as a rule I have been thinking it’s saturday all day!! When I had finished unpacking and putting it all away I hung out the washing while H made the coffee. We had a jam and cream do nut with it, yum. I changed into my shorts and rode 23.5 miles on the turbo trainer and when I finished H rode the same distance but much faster. I intended to have a steady ride because I had a very sore knee and it did the trick because it’s been fine since. When he finished we had a corned beef sandwich with brown sauce and a cup of coffee for lunch. This afternoon I made a loaf of bread and a chocolate sponge with chocolate buttercream, it turned out well , we tried a slice with a cup of tea and its delicious. For dinner tonight we had pasta with chicken etc and a glass of wine. I am still sorting out stuff from upstairs and putting it all away, we didn’t realise we had so much rubbish. For example I threw away 14 bottles of nail varnish!!! I still have 7 I am keeping.

A good day.
I had a dreadful night, I just couldn’t get to sleep, I had so many things going round in my head. I finally got to sleep just after 4 am and H woke me up at 6 because we had a lot to do. We had our breakfast, I stripped the bed and put on a load of washing. We had a coffee and then I dressed so we could get our old furniture out of the garage ready for the men to take away when they brought the new furniture. It’s a good job we did get up and get on because I was just in the garden hanging out the washing and they arrived, it wasn’t even 8.30. It looks nice and we are very pleased with it. I have begun bringing all the things downstairs again and filling the new cupboards and drawers. We had poached eggs on toast for lunch, H had a ride upstairs this morning and I went up for an hour and a bit this afternoon. We had our baths and I cooked dinner. I had forgotten to take anything out of the freezer this morning so we had fish pie which I could cook from frozen. We just had a tin of baked beans with it and it was nice, a hot cross bun for pud.

Wednesday.
We got up just before 7, I put on a load of washing and we had our breakfast.H had toast and I had an egg, tomato, mushroom and a slice of corned beef, delicious. We had a coffee and then H shaved his head and his face while I cleaned my best boots. We got ready to go to Philips funeral. First we went and picked up No 1 son and his wife and then on to the crematorium. It was pouring with rain and cold with it. It was a nice service and there were so many people there. We met our daughter there and when we went to the wake I went with her because I knew where the place was, plus I wanted a ride it her week old Mercedes. Our youngest son is out of the country so was unable to join us. The wake was nice and I know Phil would have loved it, all his little old ladies in the complex where he lived had put on an amazing spread and everyone was so friendly. It turned so cold that when we arrived the rain turned into hail and there was even some snow flakes mixed in making patterns on the windscreen. When we got home again we had a coffee and a bath then dinner. Tomorrow our new furniture should arrive so we are looking forward to that.

Tuesday.
What a miserable day! We got up at 7 and had our breakfast,H had toast and I had egg tomato and corned beef which is what I am hooked on at the moment. I did a bit of housework and wiped all the skirting boards and the sides of the stairs etc,we had a coffee and H went up to turbo. I made a loaf of bread. When he finished I made us a coffee and toasted hot cross buns. We had a game of scrabble and for lunch we had cheese on toast and a ‘ cup a soup ‘ at 2 I went up to the pain cave for a ride. I did 24 and a bit miles. It seemed extra hard work this afternoon for some reason. I am not riding tomorrow and I think the rest will do me good. I had a bath when I finished and then cooked dinner. It was a pork and lamb casserole with onions, carrots, potatoes, mushrooms celery and cauliflower. It’s very tasty and there is enough tomorrow too. Tomorrow is my brother in law’s funeral so it’s not going to be a happy day.

Monday.
I got up at 7.15 and made a pot of tea. I put on a load of washing and had my breakfast, egg tomato and corned beef, it was lovely. When the washing was done I hung it out and we had a cup of coffee. I cleaned the kitchen, toilet and bathroom floors and did a bit of dusting and it was time for me to turbo. I did an hour and a bit and when H was riding I spent a couple of hours in the garden pruning the roses and weeding. For lunch we had a cheese sandwich with celery and another coffee. This afternoon we watched a cycle race on the television. I read a couple of chapters of my book and for dinner we had cod in breadcrumbs, baked beans and a jacket potato. Just before dinner our no 2 son rang from Greece, he is enjoying the climbing end the beautiful scenery. This morning we had a phone call from Aldiss to say our furniture has arrived and it is being delivered Thursday morning. We are really looking forward to it, we will be able to move again in the bedrooms which are full of all the things that were in our old cupboards. We should be able to get it all sorted before Easter 🐣.

British summer time begins.
I got up at 7.20 then altered my clocks and half the morning had gone!! I had a fried egg and tomato for my breakfast and decided to fry a slice of corned beef too, I had forgotten how it melts when fried!! However it was such a tasty meal I shall have it again tomorrow. We had a coffee and ad 9.45 i got ready to turbo. I did a nice steady ride while the Archers omnibus was on. I rode 24.4 miles, so this week I have done over 90 miles again. I will be glad when it’s nice enough for H to do an outdoor ride because I want to go out but it’s not much fun on your own. When I finished my ride we had a coffee and a hot cross bun. For lunch we had a salmon sandwich with celery. I had a bath and washed my hair then we watched a cycle race in Spain, it was in Barcelona and we had cycled on lots of the bits when we were there. For dinner tonight we peppered steak with new potatoes, carrots, cauliflower, broccoli and leeks. Just yogurt for pudding again.
Saturday, 24 March 2018
Saturday..
I got up at 6.30 and put on a load of washing and a loaf of bread. My loaf turned out well and I told H he is not allowed to make another. Yesterday was not the first time he had forgotten to put all the liquid in and the loaf comes out like a brick! I hung out the washing and we had a coffee. H went up to turbo and I went outside and gardened for 3 and a half hours. When H finished I came in and we had lunch, a salad baguette and a cup of tea. This afternoon we watched a cycle race on tv and for dinner we had an M& S pizza with a side salad with a yogurt for pudding. I did a bit of knitting while the race was on and relaxed in a nice hot bath when it was over. I am happy because Cambridge had a double win in the boat race. Both the men and the women won.

Friday, My daughters birthday
We got up at 6.15 and as we were nice and early we decided to do our weekly shop today instead of tomorrow. We unpacked and put it all away, had a coffee and then we went to Cawston so we could find the bowls club where my brother in law’s wake is being held. We found it without any trouble. When we got home again I went up to turbo for an hour. In the hour I did 21.3 miles. H rode for an hour next and did23.2 miles,so almost 2 miles more than me. This afternoon we went to give our daughter her birthday present and card. She was still at the hairdressers when we arrived with her eldest daughter but her youngest daughter was home and entertained us till the other 2 returned home. For dinner we had beef in red wine with mushrooms and baby onions. With it we had broccoli, carrots and green beans. Strawberry trifle for pudding washed down with a small glass of wine.

Thursday. The day before my daughters birthday!!!
I got up at 6.30 and we had our breakfast. I had porridge and H had toast. We had a coffee and H sat and studied Spanish before leaving at 9.30 for his lesson. I then put my cycle gear on and went to the pain cave to turbo. I was about half way through when the phone rang, it was no 1 son. He was just checking the time etc of his uncles funeral next week and what time we are picking him and his wife up. We had a nice chat and when we had done I carried on with my ride. I did 26.4 miles. I had a quick shower and H got home again. We had cheese and biscuits for lunch with a coffee and then we spent all afternoon playing scrabble. It was fine by me because I had had my exercise. We had pasta and chicken for dinner in a white sauce and added onion, broccoli, carrot, mushrooms and green beans. Tonight is a nice night for me on tv, all my rubbish soaps one after the other. No 2 son has arrived in Greece and has spent the day climbing so he is happy.

Wednesday.
I got up at 6 and had my breakfast then we had a coffee. I carried loads more things down to put back into the sideboard and dusted. H loaded the car with carpet and underlay and we got ready to go to the dump to get rid of it. We then went to Fakenham to get a few things we needed and had a coffee. H said he would buy me lunch so we looked at the menu and H decided on steak and onion pie with chips and peas. I said I would like the liver and bacon in onion gravy with mashed potato and veg. He then went to order it and when it arrived it was 2 plates of puff pastry steak pies, chips and peas. I said I didn’t order that and H said yes that was what he had asked for!!! From leaving our table and walking to the counter he had forgotten what I had asked for!! If I want anything done right in future I will have to do it myself! It was nice and I enjoyed it but as I am trying to loose a bit of weight I didn’t want the pastry or the chips. For tea we just had a toasted hot cross bun, a cup of tea and a yogurt. I also had an orange. When we got home I had to dust again, I don’t know where it’s all coming from but I suppose it will settle down in the end.
The day after tomorrow it’s our lovely Daughters birthday, she will be 51!!! 😄

Carpet day.
We got up at 6, I put on a load of washing and we both had toast for breakfast. As soon as we had done we laid a piece of carpet on the lawn to put the settee and snuggler chair on. I hung out the washing and we took up all the underlay and vacuumed all the floors. All our floors and stairs were bare and clean and at 8.30 the carpet fitters turned up. They did an amazing job and we are really pleased with it all. They were finished before midday and and we had our lunch, brought the furniture back in( we were so lucky it was dry and sunny after all the rubbish weather we have had lately. ) we reassembled the dining table and the coffee table, carried all the chairs down etc etc. It took most of the afternoon, H put all the doors back on that we had to take off and we had a cup of tea and a biscuit. Everywhere is still a mess upstairs because we have all the things that were in our cupboards laying about waiting for the new sideboards. I have put everything in the dining room sideboard that we had to take out so we could move it so it’s better than it was. We are both worn out. We had a bath then dinner, fish pie and peas. We have cut all the old carpet and the underlay up quite small and put it in the car ready to take to the dump tomorrow.

Monday.
I slept till 7, it was great. I had 2 slices of corned beef for breakfast, put on a load of washing and had a coffee. As soon as I was dressed we cut our lounge carpet and lifted it, rolled it up and put it into the garage. We were so pleased with ourselves 😊. We also found that when we take all the cushions off the sofa we can lift it quite easily so tomorrow when the carpet men come our rooms will be empty. At 10 I went to the pain cave and rode for an hour. H rode next and we had a bath. For lunch we had poached eggs on toast with a coffee. I finished the second headband and sew them both up.
My boss rang to say there is still no work, the rhubarb isn’t growing and nor are the leeks. We can’t plant the broad beans yet etc etc.He says he will speak to me again after Easter. For dinner tonight we had pork slices, green beans, carrots sprouts and potatoes.

Sunday.
I got up at 5.50 after a good nights sleep for a change. I put on a load of washing and then just sat and knitted till H came down. We had our breakfast, H had toast and I had porridge. Next we had a coffee, I hung out the washing and knitted again till it was almost time for the Archers omnibus when I went up and did an hour and a quarter on the bike while I was listened to it. When I finished we had a hot cross bun, toasted and buttered with a coffee. I knitted again, got my washing in dry and we had a cup of tea. We watched a cycle race (women), I had a bath and washed my hair then we had dinner. We had pizza and salad with yogurt for pud. It was an M&S pizza that our daughter told us about and is was really yummy 😋. H thought I had given him far too much but he ate it all and could have eaten more, it went well with the salad but would be just as good with chips. I finished one of the head bands I am knitting and have done 2 thirds of the second one. If I had to I could finish it today but I will finish it tomorrow and sew them both up. My boss is supposed to ring tomorrow to tell me if he will need me this week or not. I hope it’s not!!!

Saturday.
H woke me up at 6.35 we had both overslept! We had our breakfast and I dressed ready to go to Asda. I told H I would go on my own because we were late and it would be a mad rush for him to get back in time to ride his race. I didn’t leave till 7.30 and I took my time with my shopping. When I finished asda I went to M & S for some bits and pieces. When I got home H was on the starting line, so it’s a good job he didn’t come with me. I unpacked and put everything away and had an instant coffee. After it stopped snowing I hung out my washing. I carried more of my things upstairs ready for Tuesday and the carpet fitting. 2 tables a lamp foot stool plants etc etc. When H finished we had cheese on toast for lunch and he made us a proper coffee. This afternoon we took the underlay up in the dining room and watched a cycle race, Mark Cavendish crashed out again!! For dinner tonight we had paella and potato wedges. No 2 son sent me 2 balls of wool so I can knit 2 more headbands for 2 of his friends. I have cast the first one on so I will start knitting tomorrow. I am looking forward to it because I haven’t done any knitting since Christmas.

Friday.
I got up at 6.30, H was up and had made the tea. I was going to have porridge but he had already cut me off a slice of bread so I had toast. We had a coffee and then we bagged up a load of carpet and underlay to take to a rubbish tip. We filled the boot and the back of the car, had a coffee and went to the tip. It was on the way to Fakenham so next we went there and had a coffee. We did a bit of shopping and went to enquire about our furniture that’s on order. It’s not yet arrived but should be by next Friday. So I will ring them then and arrange a delivery date. H bought a non slip shower mat because he almost slipped over yesterday!! We had lunch while we were out, H had a chicken baguette with melted cheese and side salad and I had a prawn mayo jacket potato with a side salad then we both had a toffee flavoured ice cream sundaes. When we got home we had a shower(H tried out his mat) and for tea we had a toasted hot cross bun and a yogurt with a cup of tea. We have had quite a nice day.

Thursday.
We both got up at 6.40 and had our breakfast. Next we had a coffee and I made a loaf of bread. H dismantled our dining table and we got it upstairs. At 10 he went for his Spanish lesson and I went up to turbo. I just had a nice steady ride and did 24 miles in an hour and a quarter. When H got home we had a salad sandwich for lunch with a coffee and then we lifted the dining room carpet. It was hard work! We wanted a piece of it for our small bedroom and the struggle to get it upstairs was unbelievable! We want part of the lounge carpet for the large bedroom so how we will ever manage to get a bigger bit upstairs I can’t imagine. For dinner tonight we had chicken curry which was nice.
Wednesday, 14 March 2018
Sun at last.
I got up at 6 put on a load of washing and made my porridge. We had a coffee and I hung the washing out. H lifted the landing and stairs carpet and the underlay ready for next week but we still have the dining room, centre hall and lounge to do. We keep clumping up and down the stairs, it’s so noisy without the carpet! I got out of the way by going outside and doing some gardening. It took me all morning to cut round the edges of the half moon bed, the oval bed and all the way down one side of the lawn. I had already done round the patio and the strip in front of the patio doors so all I have left to do is the other side of the grass. While I was doing that H turboed after he finished the carpet. We had a fried egg sandwich for lunch with a coffee. This afternoon I read my book and for dinner tonight we had quiche with mushrooms and tomatoes. All my washing is lovely and dry and it was so nice to be outside working in the sun.

Tuesday. .
I got up at 10 past 7 and had jam on toast for breakfast. The trouble was I thought it was 10 past 6 so I had a leisurely breakfast, read my magazine had a coffee and went up to make the bed and dressed. Then I looked at the time and it was 9.30 an hour later than I thought it was! So I had to change again ready for a bike ride!! I did the same ride as yesterday and managed to do it 28 seconds faster!! When I had finished I had a shower and we had lunch, a sausage roll, cup s soup and a coffee. H went up for a ride. He did the same as me but he did it 4 minutes faster. When H finished we had a cup of tea and a slice of cake. For dinner tonight we had spaghetti bolognese, it was very tasty.
Monday, 12 March 2018
Monday.
I got up at 6.30 and put on a load of washing then I had porridge for breakfast. We had a coffee and I helped H move our sideboard. It was hard and took ages. It’s so heavy we had to empty it first and stack all the crockery on the table, I still couldn’t pull my side out because my back is still painful so H ended up doing it on his own. We had a coffee and began to carry things upstairs. At 10 I got ready to turbo, I rode for an hour and a bit. In the hour I did 20.3 miles. I have never been so hot! I only wore my shorts and vest with the window wide open and was boiling!! I had a shower, read a chapter of my book and then sorted lunch, we had a corned beef sandwich, a slice of cake and a cup of tea. I had hung my washing out earlier but when I looked out of the window it was raining! I got my washing in again and it was as wet as it was when I hung it out. For dinner tonight we had pork chops, broccoli, carrots and mashed potato with gravy. It was very nice.

Mothering Sunday..
We both got up at 6.30, I put on a load of washing ( sheets etc) and we had our breakfast, H had toast and I had porridge. We had a coffee and I put the washing into the tumble dryer because it’s pretty damp outside. I made the coffee cream for my cake and when it was done it looked pretty good. Tastes nice too. Next I cleaned the cloakroom and swept the kitchen floor. All 3 of my lovely children rang to wish me happy mother’s day. This afternoon no 1 son and his wife came round, and the next minute it was daughter and our youngest granddaughter. I have 3 lovely cards and I am so proud of my lovely kids who have all done so well in their lives. A basket if gorgeous flowers and plants and a bottle of wine from daughter, a fantastic outdoor, wall hanging clock/ thermometer from no 1 son and no2 son is taking me to the garden centre when he next comes home. We all had a great afternoon together and a nice catch up. Our lunch was sausage rolls and cake. For dinner tonight we had pasta with chicken, broccoli, carrot, onions and peas in a white sauce. Now I will watch the final of S C D.

H woke me up at 6.20, I put on a load of washing and we had our breakfast. We then got ready and went to Asda. When we came back we had a coffee and H went up to the pain cave for a bike ride. I hung out my washing, brought the bin in, swept the kitchen floor, made the bed and then got on with some baking. I made sausage rolls, melting moments, and a coffee and walnut sponge, it took me all morning and has given me backache!! We had sausage rolls and melting moments for lunch with a cup of coffee. Then this afternoon I made a shepherds pie for dinner tonight. I got my washing in, all dry. I had a bath and did some veg to go with our pie, we had sprouts, carrots and cabbage. I am now going to watch Crufts laying flat on my back to see if I can get rid of the pain.
Friday, 9 March 2018
Friday.
I got up at 6.30 and hung out yesterday’s washing, I didn’t have enough to make a load today, one of my rare days. I had toast for a change for breakfast and then a coffee. While H was on the turbo trainer I got on with some housework. Our house is in a terrible state, the carpet men aren’t coming till the 20th but we have taken all the cupboards out of the lounge but most of the clutter that was in them is all over the place. Never the less I feel quite excited at the prospect of a complete new look in our lounge. We had a cheese sandwich for lunch with celery and a coffee and then I spent the afternoon at the hairdressers. For dinner tonight we had jacket potatoes, mushrooms, peas and a fried egg.
Thursday, 8 March 2018
Thursday.
I got up at 6.40 and put on my usual load of washing before making my bowl of porridge for breakfast. We had a coffee and I hung the washing out in lovely sunshine ☀️. I came back indoors and cleaned my teeth and the sky turned black so I had to go out and get all my washing in again. At 10 am H got ready to go for his Spanish lesson. He had just left when his sister rang to keep us up to date with the funeral arrangements. They are all going well, the order of service is sorted, plus the wake and everyone wants to help because Philip as such a lovely man. After I had spoken to her I went up to turbo, I had a steady ride and managed to do 30.5 miles before H got back so I had my exercise. We had a fried egg sandwich and a coffee for lunch and for dinner tonight we had sausage
‘ eclairs ‘ from a butchers in Aylsham and they were very tasty. With them we had sprouts, cabbage, potatoes and leeks. Our youngest granddaughter had a brace fitted to her top teeth today she sent me a lovely photo.

I got up at 6 am,put on a load of washing and a loaf of bread, then I had porridge for breakfast. We cleared more things out of the lounge, had a coffee and then I vacuumed upstairs. At 10 I went up to turbo for an hour. It was a bit of a muddle because we had a fuse blow after I had done 5.4 miles and everything went off. After it was sorted I began again but I was on a different course and had to start again. I ended up with 21.1 miles altogether. We had a tin of pilchards for lunch with a slice of bread and butter. This afternoon H turboed for an hour. He had a shower and then ran me a bath. H opened our last bottle of wine and as it’s the last one I had a glass too.For dinner we had pizza, potato wedges, grilled tomatoes and mushrooms. Tuesday.
I got up at 7 and put on a load of washing and had my breakfast. I hung the washing out and we had a coffee. I made the bed and then we put some more of our furniture in the garage ready for the new carpets to be fitted. A second cupboard we carried upstairs and we have got rubbish everywhere !! H had a turbo ride this morning and I worked in the garden for an hour and a half. When he had done we had a corned beef sandwich ( I just had a slice of corned beef,no bread) with a cup a soup. We then had a cup of coffee and I turboed for an hour. When I was about halfway through my boss rang to say there is not much to do at work so he won’t need me this week or next. He will contact me again after that. I carried on with my ride after the phone call and did 19 miles in the hour but carried on a bit longer so I did 20.1 miles. For dinner we had the chicken that was left over from Sunday with new potatoes, carrots, cabbage and sprouts. We had a cup of tea, H had a yogurt and I had a little pot of Benecol. We had a square of chocolate and through the day I also had a kiwi fruit, 2plums and a banana. Last week I lost a pound ( the new one I gained) next week I hope to loose another. Also last week l rode 142.99 miles so I thought I would have lost more!! But at least I won the crib 2 games to one. It was so close it put my blood pressure up.
Monday, 5 March 2018
Monday.
I got up at 6.30 and put on a load of washing. H made a pot of tea and we had our breakfast. I hung the washing out in the sunshine and we had a coffee. When our son came down we decided we would all go out for a drive. First we went to Aylsham because H wanted to go to the bank, I went to the butchers and then we found a cafe and had a coffee, well they did but I had a strawberry milkshake. When we left there we went to Walcott and I was going to have a paddle but the tide was right in and I forgot to take a towel!! We went from there to Mundsley and had fish and chips for lunch, they were nice. We saw some big snowdrifts that haven’t melted yet. On our way home we popped to our daughters to drop off a card form son to his niece. My daughter gave me my mother’s day present while we were there and it’s beautiful. An enormous basket fo flowering plants in a lovely arrangement. She said she will still come round on Sunday but at least she doesn’t have to try to keep it alive till then.😄. For dinner we had venison steaks and a side salad, they were very tasty. Pineapple for pudding. As soon as dinner was over our son packed his things and left to go back to London, his journey should be better than the one he had coming here in the snow. My washing is all dry and smells of fresh air.

Sunday.
I can’t believe it’s the weekend almost gone already! Yesterday I forgot to blog, in the morning I went out on my bike with no2 son. It was hard work, we went off road and I was quite nervous riding through and over the drifts. However I didn’t fall off and I was more confident on the way back so we went a bit faster, it was really hard work so we had a good workout even after only doing just under 11 miles. We had homemade soup for lunch yesterday and salad today. For dinner tonight we had roast chicken with mashed potatoes, carrots, broccoli, sprouts, roast sweet potato and potatoes with gravy. Yesterday we had beef stew. I made an apple and blackberry crumble for pud so we had that with cream. I added up the miles I have cycled this week and it’s 142.99 miles! Not bad with the awful weather. As it’s Sunday I had a glass of wine. We managed to do our weekly shop yestarday morning so we were pleased, our road was dreadful but as soon as we got to the main road it was fine.
Friday, 2 March 2018
Fri another snowy day.
I got up at 6.60, put on a load of washing, made a pot of tea, made a bowl of porridge and had my breakfast. As soon as the washing was done I hung it out. It’s was a freezing wind 💨 and it dried really quickly. At 9am the carpet man rang to say he would be here around at 10 so I vacuumed the carpets and dusted the skirting boards etc. When he arrived I made him a coffee and he measured it all up. He says we should get them in around 3weeks if the weather improves. He said they usually have around 5 large lorry deliveries a day but for the last 2 days only a couple have managed to get through. For lunch I made H a tuna sandwich but I had just tuna, no bread. The trouble was when he made me a cup of coffee he also brought me a chocolate biscuit! I didn’t like to say I didn’t want it.😊. When the carpet man left I went to the grit bin at the end of our road, filled a bucket with the sand and salt and spread it up our drive. I hope it does some good. No2 son says he is coming home tonight I hope if he does he gets here safely, our roads are pretty bad still and there have been several accidents in the area. For dinner tonight we had burgers, eggs, potato wedges and peas. I had a little pot of Benecol and I have just eaten a pear.
Thursday, 1 March 2018
March.
It was porridge for breakfast again and a mug of tea. H had a turbo and then found a ride for me to do in the pain cave. We had a coffee and when it was time I went up for a ride. I have never joined anything before so I was feeling nervous, I didn’t want to look silly. Well I needn’t have worried it was easy. There were over 30 women riding and I kept up with easily, in fact a lot of the time I had to slow down to stay with the group. It was an hours ride and I did 20.8 miles in that time, a nice start to March. We had an egg sandwich and a coffee again for lunch because we enjoyed it so much yesterday. This afternoon I did a bit of clearing up because the carpet man should be coming to measure up. Let’s hope he can make it through the snow this time. We had a bath and I cooked dinner, H had a glass of wine but I had water again. For dinner tonight we had quiche, chips, mushrooms, tomatoes and leek. Yesterday I put a picture on Facebook and it has 418 likes!! Last month I did over 300 miles on my bike.
