Tues

Anoth34 hot day. We were both up by 5.30 and I put on a load of washing before breakfast. H put on a loaf of bread and shampooed the lounge carpet. I packed my marmite sandwiches again. It's the only thing I fancy in this heat, meat goes off and salad things go all limp and floppy.  We began planting leeks at 8.30 and planted all day finishing at 3.54. We still have some more leeks left to put in tomorrow. When I got home I was filthy, the soil was falling off the roots and the wind was strong too. I had a shower when I got home and a cup of tea and then cooked dinner. We had salmon, jacket potatoes, baked beans and courgette's with yogurt a nd melon to follow.. Here is a picture of our planter.
