Tuesday.

I got up at 5.45, made a pot of tea and had my breakfast. As I was going to the Doctors at 12.30 and had to leave off early I didnt pack and lunch but took my bottle of water. I had to do 20 bunches of beetroot, 12 bunches of spring onions and 72 bunches of carrots. When they were don I had to carry on with bunched carrots till it was time for me to leave. When I got home I had a coffee and washed and changed and went down to the surgery. I was seen quickly and the doc said he would make me an appointment to have my nasty growth removed.I dont suppose it will be any time soon but its a relief just to be on the list. When I got home son and I walked to the shop and back. When we got back I made a pot of tea and prepared the veg for dinner.Adter I had my bath and everything was cooked I dished up. It was a yummy dinner,roast lamb witk roast potatoes, runner beans, carrots, broccoli, sweet potato, gravy and mint sauce. We shared a pineapple for desert but it didnt have a lot of flavout. Yesterday we did nothing much, had salmon and veg for dinner and in the evening son and I player crib and he won both games.

I got up at 6 oclock and made a pot of tea after I had put on a load of washing. H was the next one up so I poured the tea and we had our breakfast. I sat and read my book till our son came down and then I dressed so I could hang the washing out. H decided he wouldnt come out with us as he doesnt wasnt to strain his heart and thought we might be going too fast for him so he had a gentle ride upstairs. I think he did right because when he and I did this ride last week it took us 2 hours and 20 minuits, today we did it in 2 hours and we did even more of it off road which made it even harder.When we got home I got lunch and relaxed with a bottle of beer. we had a B B Q this evening, ribs, kebabs, sausages, corn on the cob and potatoes.It was nice, the men also had cooked bananas. I had a bath and we watched a film, I didnt like it! It was about 3 young people robbing a blind man. When it was over I went up to watch country file and then Vera

Friday.

I got up at 5.20, put on a load of washing and had my breakfast. I watched wild earth till the washing was done then I turned the tv off hung out the washing and and packed my lunch. I sat and read till it was time for me to go to work. I had to pick 42 bunches of beetroot, 20 bunches of golden beetroot, 40 bunches of carrots and 20 bunches of purple carrots. When all that was done I had finish weeding the celeriac bed. The boss said I could go home when I had finished and H was suprised to see me home at 1 oclock! He made me a coffee and we had a packet of crisps I also had a banana. We watched tipping point,had our baths and I washed my hair. We had noodles for dinner. no 1 son rang and said he will probibly see us this weekend and no 2 son is coming home tomorrow. I dont have to work till Tuesday.

Thursday

I got up at 6.10 and made a pot of tea. H didnt get up till 7.15.I had my eggs and courgette and then we had a small coffee. I was just drinking my coffee when I got a message from my sister in law, ( H's sister) saying that her husband had died this morning. Sad news.Luckily she has all her family living around her. H has a spanish lesson today, his teacher is back from her holiday in North Wales. So I got ready and when he left I got ready and go out on my bike. It was really hard work, I rode almost 20 miles into a strong head wind. The tail wind bits were nice but as they were on the way back, by that time after struggling into the gale I was too knackered to take advantege of it and just freewheeled. Still I was pleased with my ride, 35.35 miles. I saw a buzzard, a kestril,a rabbit, some squirells and all the red arrows came right over my head. When I got home H was back and had had a nice lesson. We had a coffee, soup and a toasted hot cross bun. We watched the bike race in spain and it was in Cordoba where we have been and I even saw a cafe that we had been in. We watched the end of tipping point, had our baths and then dinner, salmon with giant jacket potatoes and buttered green beans. Its work tomorrow.

Tuesday and Wednesday

On Tuesday I went to blog but found i had no charge! We had a nice day, going out on our bikes and having our favourite scones. When we got home H cut the back grass, it looks nice, its so green. Today I had to work so I was up early, got the washing on so it was done in time for me to hang out before going to work. I picked 52 bunches of beetroot, 99bunches of carrots and then tomatoes for the rest of my time. When I got home H made me a coffee and I had a banana and a bun. I got my washing in at 2.15 and was suprised it was dry because we had drizzle at work for most of the morning. We watched the tour of spain and the end of tipping point, had our baths and a cup of tea. Dinner is pork, potatoes, beans and carrots.I work again on Friday

Monday.

I got up just before 5 am because I couldnt sleep. I sat and read my book till 6 then I made a pot of tea, put on a load of washing and had eggs and courgette for breakfast. I watched 'wild earth' as I do every morning and at 7 I packed my cheese, tomato and bottle of water, cleaned my teeth, dressed and then read some more till the washing was done, hung it out and got ready to go to work. I had to do 60 bunches of carrots and 20 bunches of spring onions. It was a bit easier to dig up the carrots after Saturdays rain. Andrew came and picked me and my work up, took me to the yard where I laid out the carrots, onions and fennel to be washed. When one side had been done I tuned them all and when Andrewhad finished washing them I packed everything up and loaded it into the van. We had our break and I spent all the rest of the morning weeding. When I got home H made me a coffee and I had a banana and a bun.I got my washing in, made a pot of tea and we watched tipping point. We had our baths and dinner. A burger with fried onions, a side salad and chips. I dont have to work tomorrow so we hope the weather is nice so we can go out on our bikes.

Saturdays post. A day late because we had a power cut and I was unable to write it.

We have had a really nice day. We had a bit of a lay in which is a good start. We had our breakfast, I put on a load of washing and we did our weekly shop. After I had put it all away Ihung out the washing and emptied the dishwasher we had a coffee and a small egg custard. I did a bit of general clearing up and H got our bikes out of the garage. We rode to Reepham station the short way which is almost 10 miles. H went into the cafe and orderd the coffees and cakes, when he came out I asked if we were having clotted cream with our scone and he said no they have sold out already! (I cant help wondering if this is my fault as I put a comment on trip adviser saying they were so good!)So we had cheese scones with butter and also a chocolate brownie with our usual coffee. I dare not say how goodn the brownie was because there wouldnt be any of those left if I do. We then rode home the long way via the loop so our ride was 23 and a quarter miles. The temperature was perfect and we both really enjoyed it. I put the bikes away and we had a bath right away because we were going to our daughters and son in laws for a B B Q. Its his birthday. It was a lovely afternoon and evening, all their family were there so we got to see our eldest granddaughter who is pregnant and only got 11 weeks to go,her husband, our grandson who was in charge of the B B Q and did a fantastic job, specially with a huge rack of ribs, our youngest granddaughter who had to wotk but was home in time for tea and our great granddaughter who is 2 and in charge of everybody! We were welcomed with otange G & Ts with a slice of orange and yummy, Nova had everyones otange then calling G G (thats me) come into the garden then grandad, come out here etc etc. She walks up to sirree and says sirree play barr barr black sheep. What would my parents think of such things all we had was a wind up gramaphone.She is such a lovely little girl. Anyway we had a really nice time, a lovely meal with birthday cake, loads to drink! and suck nice company.When we got home I went up to watch tv because H was watching u tube rubbish. I came down when he came to bed, started to watch a film and fell asleep in the adds. when I woke up to blog I thought I had gone blind wverything was pitch black! The phones were off, tv, all the small stand by lights and digital clocks etc. total blackness. I felt my way to the window looked outsise and could see that there was no light in anyones house soi knew it wasnt just us fused. In a house over the way I could see a lighter flame moving across the room and then a warm glow as a candle was lit. This morning its back on so now I am off to reset things, oven clock boiler microwave etc.
