Thursday

 We have had a nice day.  We both had toast for breakfast and a cup of tea. H had a turbo and I dug a bit of garden. When I went in I washed my hands and polished my nails, when H finished his ride he had a shower and we had lunch, toasted fruit loaf. We then got ready to go to our daughters, who had got our great grand children for the afternoon. They are growing up fast. We took them to a playground just over the road and all had fun. They both love the swings. When we got home we watched the bike race in Spain  and when it was over I cooked dinner, we had sausages, bacon, eggs and fried tomatoes. Ice cream for pudding.

Wednesday

 I had my normal breakfast of tea and eggs and then I emptied the dishwasher and put everything away. We had a lot of rain overnight and the track is in a terrible mess so we decided to go out on the road. We did some off road work , but most of the ride was on the road. It’s a really hilly ride so now I have got a sore knee. We did 18. 75 miles. When we got home we had our lunch. I had salad and H had a cheese sandwich. This afternoon I went into the garden and pulled up some more rubbish. When I came back in I watched a bike race with H .we had a glass of wine and for dinner we had a chicken stir fry.

Tuesday

 Today we went to the City to pick up H’s watch from the jewellers. He took it in to be cleaned. We had a phone call to say they couldn’t do it because they didn’t have any parts for that model any more it was too old. It’s the watch I bought him for our 40 th wedding anniversary which was all most 24 years ago. The watch is perfectly alright and still working. When we left the City we went straight to Lidl. For lunch we had a cheese and beetroot roll and a coffee. Instead of going for a walk I did step ups . I did 50 on each foot. For dinner tonight we had breaded cod, chips and corn on the cob followed by ice cream.

Monday ( bank holiday)

 I was up first again so I made a pot of tea and put a load of washing on. When H got up I poured the tea. When the washing was done I hung it out. We did a bit of house work this morning so every where is looking nice. This afternoon I did some gardening till our no 1 son came round and I went in so we could chat. He said their puppy is doing well and growing fast. He cycled round and he is looking well. When he left it was time for me to have my bath and get dinner. Today we had a prawn stir fry, it was delicious. 

Sunday

I didn’t write a blog yesterday as I spent all day gardening. I feel as if I am finally getting on top of of it. I no sooner got indoors yesterday and we had a cloud burst. I felt really lucky. I had made a cottage pie in the morning before going out to work in the garden. So I just had to do some beans and carrot. It was lovely and H really enjoyed it, which is a good job because we only ate half and we are having the rest tonight. Today we were going out on our bikes but there was a lot of water laying about and we thought the track would be muddy, so we both had a ride upstairs on the turbo trainer. I rode for an hour and did 18 miles. When H finished his ride we had lunch. A beetroot sandwich and a packet of crisps washed down with a cup of hot choc. We also had a peach. When I had eaten mine I went out to cut all the dead tops off the Hollyhocks because I don’t want them seeding every where I have got enough already.

Friday

 This morning we went to Asda and did our shopping. On the way there we called at our sons and daughter in law’s because she leaves us a box of vegetables on the front step from her allotment and garden. Today there was 3beef tomatoes, 3 beetroot, 3 cucumbers, 2 carrots and loads of beans. All the stuff she grows is lovely. I did some gardening, and this afternoon I had a dentist appointment. It was only a checkup. For dinner tonight we had a pizza and salad. It was a goodfellas meat one,and it was really nice.

Thursday

 When I got up this morning I felt much better and my stomach had settled down. We had our breakfast and I took 2 lamb steaks out of the freezer for dinner tonight. We went out on our bikes and had a lovely ride. We went along the track to Whitwell and then on the road back to Lenwade and on the track from there home. We have to go up some horrible hills but that’s why we did it. For dinner tonight we had lamb steaks new potatoes, and runner beans. It was nice. 

Wednesday

 This morning I had an upset stomach which was a nuisance because I wanted to go out on my bike.we got the bikes out and I got ready to go in case I got better. But I didn’t so H went in and rode upstairs. We will try to go out tomorrow. For lunch we had to have chicken soup because I opened a tin of it this morning by mistake when I was supposed to be opening a tin of prunes. I did some work in the garden and then I went for a walk. When I got back I cooked dinner. We had pork belly slices, chips and peas.

Monday

 when I got up I stripped my bed and put everything in the washing machine. Then I made a pot of tea and had my breakfast eggs. When the washing was done I hung it out. I emptied the dishwasher and put everything away., and then I was going to go out and work on the garden but one of my sons said I should go for a walk so I decided to do that first. I walked to our local pond . It was full of fish I haven’t seen so fish in it before. When i walked back I picked some blackberries and ate them I also found 3 Myra bellas . When I got home it was lunch time we both had a small tin of sardines. When I had eaten mine I went out and did my gardening. H got my washing in and I remade my bed. For dinner tonight we had cod in breadcrumbs green beans and potatoes.

Friday

 We went to Asda as soon as we had had our breakfast when we got home I unpacked and put everything away. We then had a coffee  and got on with the house work. I got the bin in and put them all in order in the side passage. We had our lunch of cream crackers and liver pate and cheese washed down with a coffee. This afternoon our daughter came round to see us, she brought me a lovely bouquet 💐 of flowers cream roses . For dinner we had a burger with a side salad.

  I put a load of washing as soon as I got up. I emptied the dishwasher and put everything away. I had my breakfast and then I dressed so I could hang the washing out. When that was done we had a coffee and I went out to do some gardening. I got on well with it. H called me in when it was lunch time. After lunch we went blackberrylng, it a good year for them. For dinner we had chicken, potatoes,cabbage and beans.

Wednesday

 We had to take the car into the garage today because we had to have four new tyres.H took it in at 8:30 and when he got home we got ready to go out on our bikes. We went to Whitwell and back which is 15 and a bit miles. I used my watch for Strava my ride, and it hasn’t loaded. I will have to take my phone in future. When we got home we had some lunch and I went outside and worked on the garden again. We got the a message from the garage to say out car was done. So H went to get it, while I prepared dinner. We had chorizo sausages, bacon, eggs,  mushrooms and beans.

Tuesday

 When I got up I put on a load of washing and emptied the dishwasher and put everything away. Next I had my breakfast, toast with butter and marmite. I cleared up the kitchen and we had a coffee. I went up and got dressed so I could hang out the washing. We went to Lidl and then to the garden centre for some numbers to stick on our food bin, but they don’t have them any more. This afternoon I worked in the garden.  I am getting on well with what I am doing and it is looking nice. It got too hot at one point and I he’d to come inside to cool off. Tomorrow we have got to take our car into the garage for new tyres, and something else but I have forgotten what. But when we have done that we hope to go out on our bikes. Dinner tonight was a chicken stir fry, it was so tasty.

Monday (wet)

 When I got up it was raining. I made a loaf of bread, and put on a load of washing. The rain stopped and then it was showers on and off all day. When it cleared out I went out and did some gardening but I had to come in when it started to rain again. For dinner tonight we had sausages bacon,mushrooms,fried tomatoes and eggs. It was delicious. 

Saturday ( sunny )

      I put a load of washing on as soon as I got up, then I had my breakfast. H went and got the bikes out and I said we should go at about 9.30. I hung the washing out and then I got ready to go out. When I was ready I went to find H and he was fast asleep in his chair in the lounge. So I sat and read my book till he woke up and got ready. We finally left at 10.20. So much for my early start. We had a lovely ride (31.38 ) miles. When we got home I was starving,I had been all that way on 2 fried eggs which I had eaten at 6 30. I had a sandwich, which was 2slices of bread and butter cheese and cucumber and a coffee. Dinner was salmon, jacket potato and peas. 

Friday (cloudy day)

 I got up at 6.15 because we had to go to Asda. We also had to collect H’s prescription from the chemist in Asda. The trouble is they have changed their opening times and now don’t open till 9 o’clock so after we had done our shopping we put it in the car and went to Mac Donalds for a coffee and to wait for the chemist to open. When I had unpacked and put everything away I got stuck into the housework. H had an hour on the turbo. On our way to Asda we called at our daughter in law’s and sons house were she had left us some vegetables from her allotment on the front step. There was 2 cucumbers, 2 onions, 3 courgettes, a red cabbage, a beetroot and loads of runner beans. How lucky are we. For dinner tonight we had quiche with potato wedges and runner beans . 

Thursday.

 I weighed myself as soon as I got up. And I had gained .6 of a pound, so I am pleased. We went out on our bikes today and had a lovely ride. We did 17 . 27 miles and it was a mixture of track and road. When we got home we had our lunch and then I went out to work in the garden, I finished cutting round one side of the lawn. It looks nice. I had a bath and washed my hair then I cooked dinner. We had belly pork slices and fried tomatoes. The tomatoes were delicious and all out of our garden. 

Wednesday

 After breakfast I went up and dressed and hung my washing out. H went out and cut the front lawn. I went out and got on with some of the gardening. We have filled our garden bin again. The wind was really cold so we decided to go out on our bikes tomorrow. For dinner tonight we had chicken thighs, broccoli carrots potatoes and peas. We had an ice cream for dessert.

Tuesday

 Today we went to the City.  First we went to the Bank and then to Holland and Barrett. After that we went to a jewellers for H to get his watch fixed. As we walked back to the car past the market I bought us a crab each and a jar of cockles. When we left there we went to Lidl, calling at the surgery on the way to drop off my prescription. When we got home we had our lunch and then H went into the kitchen to us a G&T . He brought them in and said he had got in a muddle and thought he had put 2 measures of gin in one glass and none in the other. I had to taste them both and tell him which was which. He then took them both back put another measure in and brought them back. He had put the third measure in the same glass. I enjoyed my tonic with lemon. But in future I will make the drinks.

Monday (sun )

 I got up just before 7 and had my breakfast. Yesterday I got some knitting needles out to see if I can still knit . I can! I am a bit slower than I was before my stroke but I’m so pleased I can still do it. I didn’t think I would be able to. We all got ready to go out on our bikes. We had a lovely ride, the sun shone and we saw lots of deer and buzzards we stopped to eat blackberries and went to Reepham station for coffee and cake. We came home via the shooting school and there was another tree down right across the track but son managed to pick it up and slide it out of the way. We did over 20 miles. Son had to leave this afternoon to go back to his. And we just had a message from him letting us know he’s back. We had a chicken stir fry for dinner tonight, H cooked it and it was very nice.

Wednesday

 When I got up it was raining I made a pot of tea and had my breakfast. H got up as well. The rain stopped and the sun came out . It was really windy so all the rain we had dried up which was handy because H was then able to mow the front and back lawns. I did some gardening so we were both busy. For lunch we had cheese on toast and for dinner we had fish and chips. They were yummy.

Tuesday

 I got up at 6.30 and made a pot of tea. We had our breakfast and I emptied the dishwasher and put everything away. Then I hung out the washing and made a loaf of bread. While I was hanging out the washing H got the bikes out of the garage. We got ready and went for a ride. We did 15 and a bit miles and it was spitting with rain all the way round. We enjoyed our ride,when we got home I got my washing in and , much to my surprise it was dry. . We got changed and went to Lidl and from there we went  to the garden centre and then home. So I have had a good day. For dinner tonight we had chicken stir fry.
