Sunday(rain)

 I got up at 6.15 and Hubby was up and making the tea. He says he is feeling much better today. I am so relieved . I did a load of washing and had my breakfast. I hung my washing out after looking at the weather on my phone. It said no rain today till 2 o’clock. H went outside to water the tomatoes and when he came in he said it was raining. He said he didn’t think it would be much so I left the washing out. Later on I looked out and it was pouring so I got it in. I then waited for a break the rain so I could go for my walk. I managed to get round in the dry. No 1 son was coming to see us today but he rung instead, but we are going to see him tomorrow and their new puppy. Yesterday I saw a cuckoo in our garden, I couldn’t believe it. We had one in the garden the year before last as well. We haven’t heard one this year. For dinner tonight we are going to have pork chops with potatoes carrots and green beans.

Saturday ( hot )

We I got up at 7 o’clock and hubby was fast asleep so I came downstairs and made a pot of tea and had my breakfast. H got up at 8 . He is not feeling well, he didn’t want a cup of tea and he only had prunes and yogurt for breakfast and not his usual toast as well. He hardly got out of his chair all day.

I went for a walk to the Otter because I forgot to get my tele mag when we went shopping. It was .99 of a mile had I known I would’ve walked around a bit ant made it a mile. When I got home I asked H if he wanted a coffee, he didn’t but I poured him a glass of orange juice and later he had some chocolate milk. He didn’t want any lunch but I had some cheese and beetroot sandwiches. After I had cleaned the kitchen I went into the garden and did some weeding. H sat and watched the Tour de France and felt a bit better this afternoon. For dinner we had chicken thighs with salad. H ate all his I had a bowl of crunchy nut cornflakes for my pudding.

Friday (hot)

 we have  had a good day. We went to wells for lunch and afterwards we went for a walk. We watched some children Gilly fishing they caught some crabs. Then we went up the street with all the shops. 

H said to me you wanted a dress didn’t you.. I said yes but they are so long . So he marched into the first dress shop we came too and asked if they had any shorter dresses 👗 they had one in my size which is a royal blue with white polka dots. So I bought it. We walked further up the road had found another dress shop. So he went in and found a pink dress with small flowers on it’s lovely I tried it on and it’s a good fit a bit loose if anything and it’s size 8 when I came out of the changing room i saw another girl holding up a dress and I said to the shop assistant oh I like that one and she found one in my size so I bought that as well as the pink . It navy blue with circles and shapes in another blue. When we got home we had a cup of tea and a biscuit. 

Thursday ( hot and sunny)

 I got up and had my breakfast and H got the bikes out, I put on a load of washing and emptied the dishwasher and put everything away. I hung the washing out and went indoors and went up to change into my cycling gear. Hubby then told me he wasn’t feeling too good and didn’t feel like biking. So I went back upstairs and got changed again and went into the back garden and did some weeding. I also took some sausages and burgers out of the freezer for dinner tonight. Later on H felt better than he did but not right so I told him he could go for a walk with me this afternoon. By the time the Tour de France was over it was time for dinner. So we did our walk after dinner which was nice because it had cooled down a bit. Dinner was nice sausages burgers and potato wedges, all cooked in the air fryer and a salad .

Wednesday (showery)

 We had a months rain last night, that’s what the weather man said. We had a lot more damage in the garden. I lost another two hollyhocks. We were going to Wells next the sea today but the weather wasn’t good enough, we had several showers. I did some gardening and then I went for my walk just before I had my bath. This morning I cooked the beetroot’s our daughter in law gave us from her allotment. So for lunch we had cheese and beetroot sandwiches.  For dinner we had a pasta bake. Tomorrow we hope to go out on our bikes. 

Tuesday (wet)

 We had a lot of rain overnight and it’s been raining on and off all afternoon. However I managed to get the washing all dry this morning. The wind and rain overnight did a lot of damage in my garden. I had hollyhocks laying all over the lawn today. My garden rubbish bin is full already. This morning we went to Lidl. When we got home I hung the washing out then I went outside and cleared up the mess the wind made in the garden last night. No 1 son is in Ireland and today they went to see the puppies he says they are lovely so they will be coming back with one. Hubby wasn’t feeling very well this morning but he is feeling better now thank goodness. For dinner tonight we had a stir fry, chicken and mixed veg. 

Monday (wet and windy)

 We had a nice weekend, we went for a bike ride on Saturday and a walk on Sunday. Today we went for a bike ride and managed to get round in the dry. I saw a snake 🐍 it crossed the road in front of me. When we got home son started to get his things ready to go home. Our other son is in Ireland for a few days. He has gone to get a puppy. But he is going to see some sights while while he is there. His wife has gone too and it is a bit of a holiday for them. For lunch I had a roast beef sandwich 🥪 and for dinner tonight we had lasagna with carrots broccoli and cauliflower. H isn’t feeling very well today, he says he feels sick.
