Wednesday

I had another good nights sleep and was up just before 7 . We had our breakfast and then a coffee.  Today H was having his Spanish lesson and I was going to cycle with him and then carry on for a longer ride, but the wind was so strong and it was pretty dull so I said I didn't want to go and he decided to go to his lesson in the car. While he was out I finished filling my garden rubbish bin and then came in and made a boiled cake which has turned out nice. When H got home I made us a coffee and some cheese and biscuits with pickle for lunch. This afternoon I sat and read my book till it was time for my shower and then I cooked dinner, pork chops, baked beans, egg and chips. I have to go to work tomorrow so I hope it's not too wet.

Wet windy Tuesday

It's my day off and it's been horrible, gale force winds and torrential rain. I did my usual load of washing but I haven't got it dry yet if it's still wet outside tomorrow I will have to use the tumble drier. After my breakfast ( toast ) I made the bed and did all my ironing up to date. We popped to a local B&Q because H wanted a few bits and pieces and when we got home we had a corned beef sandwich for lunch with a coffee and a choc chip bun. H did a ride on his turbo and I started a new book, then I just sat and read all afternoon. We had a shower and then my boss rang to say it will be too wet for me to weed tomorrow so now I don't have to go till Thursday. For dinner tonight we had a chicken curry and pineapple for pudding. If it's dry tomorrow I hope to go out on my bike.

Monday

I struggled to sleep again last night and was up at 5.25. I put on a load of washing and had a slice of toast and tea for my breakfast. I packed a salad for my lunch, filled a bottle with water, hung out my washing, made the bed and went to work. I just had to pick 50 bunches of radishes, which were done before 9 and then I spent the rest of the day weeding. By the time I left off at 4 I could hardly stand up! I now have a headache which I think is caused by my being upside down all day. I was glad of my cup of tea when I got home. I had a bath and cooked dinner, yesterday's leftover beef and gravy with mashed potato,green beans, carrot and broccoli. It was really windy at work today and I am worn out. I have to go again on Wednesday.

Sunday

I didn't sleep well, I think it's because I slept so well the night before. I had toast for breakfast with a mug of tea. We also had a coffeeand H put the chairs out into the garden. I just sat out there till our son got up and then I went in. After he had finished his breakfast he and I got ready to go out on our mountain bikes. It was a bit chilly to begin with but it soon warmed up. We went to the small village of Heyden. It's the first time he has been and he was very impressed. We walked round the village green and then visited the church. It's beautiful, so old and when we looked in the visitors book there were names from all over the world. We then went to the cafe for coffee and cake before returning home. It was almost a 30 mile round trip. While we were out doing that H was on his turbo trainer but he had finished when we got back. I sorted lunch right away, H had a bacon butty while son and I had salad. We then all watched a filmH had recorded and it was the biggest load of rubbish I have ever seen. For dinner we had roast beef, roast potatoes, new ( boiled) potatoes, green beans, broccoli, carrots and gravy, the beef was delicious. We had fresh pineapple for pudding, the other 2 had a glass of wine but I am cutting out wine because I don't need all those extra calories! I had water!!☹️

Saturday

I am amazed to say I slept till 7.50 this morning . I went to bed at 10 pm which means I had almost 10 hours sleep!!! I am always thrilled if I manage to get 6 hours as a rule.H says it's because it was much cooler last night. I had my breakfast and as soon as I was dressed we popped to Reepham to get some bacon sausages and crabs. We went in the car because we wanted to get back before no 2 son arrived. I hung out my washing and did a bit of dusting when I heard our son arrive on his motorbike. After he had unpacked,had a coffee etc we all went round to our granddaughters because it is her 27th birthday. When we arrived we had a drink, a piece of birthday cake and nibbles. We hadn't been there long when our daughter turned up with her husband and other daughter so it was great, we got to see them all, they even had the dog. By the time we got back home it was time for lunch so I went straight to the kitchen and made H a bacon sandwich and son and me a salad. When son had finished his he went to the climbing centre for the afternoon while H and I sat in the garden in the sun. After he came back and had a shower we had a bar b q which was nice.

Friday

I was up at 5 ( too hot ) I put on a load of washing and had my breakfast. When we were ready we went for our weekly shop. We were home again by 8.30 and we had a coffee, I hung out the washing and we sat outside for an hour before getting stuck into some housework. H went upstairs to turbo so while he was out I washed the kitchen and toilet floors and vacuumed right through downstairs. When H was done I got fried egg sandwiches for lunch with an orange and soda to wash it down. At 1.30 we left home to go to the hairdressers calling in at the chicken farm for eggs on the way. When we got back home it was wine o'clock and then I cooked dinner. We had chicken in wine with roast potatoes and peas. We had lemon cheesecake for pudding. It was nice. We had not been home from the hairdressers long when it began to rain and then it really poured. I am pleased because we needed rain but no 2 son should be coming home tonight for the weekend and he said he was coming on his motorbike!!!

Thursday

It's been a busy day, up at 5.40 put on a load of washing and then had toast and tea for breakfast. I packed 2 lettuce and tomato sandwiches,a bottle of water, hung out the washing, dressed and went to work. I had to walk to the radishes first and pick 110 bunches, I had almost finished when Andy turned up so he helped with the last few bunches and then took me to the broad beans where we picked 3 boxes for a customer and then he went off to do some deliveries and left me with 10 boxes to fill for another customer. When he came back I still had 3 left to do so we filled them together. We had lunch and he went off to deliver more orders and I had to deshoot the tomatoes.. ( it was hot in the greenhouse) when I had finished I walked back to the lettuce bed and pricked out 3.5 trays of lettuce before it was time for me to go home ( around 1200 plants) when I got home H had made the tea and poured me a cup. Our daughter rang she had been to Cromer for the day, she said it was lovely there. For dinner tonight we had lasagna and mushrooms it was nice. I don't have to go to work again till Monday.
