Tuesday

 We were going out on our bikes today but we got back from shopping too late. We didn’t go as early as planned, I got H his shoes out of the shoe cupboard and as he put the first one on I noticed something on the hall carpet. I thought it was oil but it was a dark varnish. There was a tin of it in the cupboard and it had fallen over and tipped out. It’s made a right mess of the carpet plus’s H carried his shoes through to the kitchen and dripped it on to the dining room carpet as well. So we had to clear it up before we went to the shops. Then we went to the garden centre first so I could get some strawberry plants. Then Lidl then to the chemist to pick up my prescription. When we got home it had gone 11 so it was too late for us to get ready and go out. After lunch I went outside to work in the garden and spent 3 hours out there. We had beef and rice with black bean sauce for dinner followed by apple pie.

Monday

 I got up at 6.10 and made a pot of tea then cooked my breakfast. It was my usual eggs 🥚. After breakfast I emptied the dishwasher and put everything away. I washed and dressed after I had cleaned my teeth. H was going to turbo so I decided to go for a walk. It was lovely, the sun was out and the birds were singing, but it was cold. I walked through the woods and the bluebells are coming up, the pond is full of frogs spawn and the pussy willows are out, the grass is white with daisies. When I got home H had just finished his ride so we had our lunch. We had a toasted hot cross bun and a coffee. For dinner tonight we had home made fish and chips. Yes we had lamb steaks with potatoes, mushrooms, garlic and corn on the cob.

Saturday

 I got up at 6.30and put on a load of washing. I made a pot of tea and had my breakfast. I emptied the dishwasher and put everything away and when the washing was done I hung it out. Then I had a small coffee and got ready for a ride upstairs. I did 17 miles in an hour. Both my knees are sore. When I finished we had cheese sandwiches for lunch. This afternoon we watched the cycle race and for dinner we had duck legs with potatoes, cauliflower, carrots,peas and asparagus. 

Wednesday

 I got up at 6.30 and had my breakfast eggs next I cleaned my teeth and washed and dressed ready to go to the City on the bus. I went to the bank and deposited my check, then I walked up to M& S to meet my sister in law. I was there first this time. We went for a coffee first and then round the shops I bought a summer top from White Stuff and a shoulder bag from M&S. We had our lunch in Logans. I walked 3 miles today. We had beef and rice with a black bean sauce. The same desert as yesterday.

Tuesday

 I didn’t get up till 7.30 after a good nights sleep. After we had had our breakfast we went to Lidl. We had a cheese roll for lunch with a cup of coffee. When I had finished mine I went out and did a bit of weeding.i was out there for over an hour when I want in to watch The Tour of Catalonia. For dinner tonight we had the rest of the chicken with fried potatoes and tomatoes. We had a lemon mousse for dessert. Tomorrow I am going to meet my sister in law in the City.

Monday

 I said to H last night ‘if it’s dry tomorrow I am going for a bike ride’. And he said if its nice I’ll come with you. It was nice so we went out, we did 19 miles. I didn’t enjoy it as much as my last ride because it was a bit fast for me and I was gasping for breath all the way round. We saw 4 buzzards, a rabbit and a poor dead deer in a field. We had sardines for lunch, and chicken for dinner. It was a whole chicken and I cooked it in the air fryer. It was lovely , we had it with cauliflower carrots broccoli and potatoes. We only ate half so we are having the other half tomorrow. The skin was lovely and crisp.

Saturday

 I got up at 7 o’clock after a good nights sleep and stripped my bed and put everything in the washing machine. It was a dry day so I hung the washing on the linen line. I then had my breakfast. I told H I was going out on my bike but he didn’t want to come so I went on my own. After the heavy rain we had last night there was a lot of water laying about, and the track is really muddy again. But I enjoyed my ride, I just rode round enjoying the sunshine and the wildlife. The primroses are out all along the banks and I saw 4 buzzards, a green woodpecker and I heard a spotted woodpecker. When I got home H put my bike away for me and then he cut the back lawn for the first time this year. We had cheese and biscuits for lunch with a cup of bovril. I made my bed up again and made a beef stew for dinner. We had it with dumplings.

Friday

 I had a good nights sleep so I have felt fine today . I did a load of washing as soon as I got up and hung it out. It was all dry when I got it in. We went shopping and when we got home I did some step ups then I polished the table and we had our lunch. We watched a film this afternoon and for dinner we had a pizza and salid . For dessert we had fresh fruit with ice cream. 

Thursday

 I have been having some good sleeps lately but last night was awful. So I hope to sleep better tonight. Our daughter came round this morning with our great grand son. She and I took him to the park to play on the swings and slides etc. He didn’t stop talking. He walked all the way there and back. He is a lovely little boy.. Yesterday I gardened. We had salmon and jacket potatoes with baked beans for dinner. I don’t know why this print had changed I must have pressed something but I didn’t know what.

Monday

 I have had a lovely weekend. Saturday the 3of us went out on our bikes, we went along the track and got covered in mud. We did 22.18 miles. Sunday was mother’s day so I saw all my family which was great. Today we had a day out. First we went to Holt and had a coffee, then went to have a look round Baker and Larners , my favourite shop. From there we went to Sheringham Park for a walk and then to Sheringham for fish and chips for lunch. We had a large cod and chips, my cod was so big it hung off the plate. After that we walked down to the sea it was cold 🥶 on the beach, from there we went back to the car and home.  Our son had to leave after tea because he has to work tomorrow.

Friday

I popped to Tesco this morning to get a few things ,when  I got home we had a coffee and a cake and I hung my washing out. This afternoon I did some gardening till H called me in to watch a film. He he did a turbo ride this morning. Our youngest son is coming home tonight for the weekend. I expect we will go out on our bikes tomorrow. For dinner tonight we had liver carrots potatoes cauliflower and peas. 

Thursday

 Both my eggs broke as I put them in the pan this morning. So I thought it was going to be a bad day. But it turned out out well. As soon as I had done all my chores I went upstairs and changed into my cycle gear to ride on the turbo trainer. I did 17.5 in the hour. When I had finished it was lunch time. We had soup and then a slice of fruit loaf toasted with butter. This afternoon we watched the cycle race.dinner was pork chops with cauliflower carrots and potatoes. I have still got a terrible cough. 

Wednesday

 Today Hubbys brother and wife were coming round to see us. They live in Cyprus but have come over to visit all their  family. So I vacuumed up and dusted etc. while H turboed. I changed out of my work clothes and plaited my hair. H had a shower when he had finished his ride. When they got here H made the a pot of tea. It was nice catching up with them it’s a year since we last saw them. For dinner tonight we had a chicken stir fry. Dessert was the same as last night. Tomorrow I am going to turbo. 

Tuesday 5 th of March.

 When we got up this morning it was wet outside but not raining. Well that didn’t last long, by the time we had finished our breakfast it was raining. Everything time we go to Lidl it’s raining . When we came out of there we went to the garden centre , where I got a new liners for my hanging basket and my hay basket. We looked for strawberry plants but they haven’t any yet. When we got home I unpacked and put everything away, we had a coffee and then I went upstairs to have a ride on the bike. I did an hour and rode 17.2 miles. It was hard because I haven’t done any exercise for a fortnight because I had a cold.  For lunch we had sardines and for dinner we have got beef and rice with black bean sauce , dessert is tinned peaches with condensed milk. It’s something I used to have for pudding when I was about 5 years old.
