I got up and had my breakfast then I went back upstairs to get dressed because the window cleaner was coming at 8 o’clock. As soon as he left
H went upstairs to turbo. He did an hour and was really happy about it and. It’s the best he’s felt for ages. When he finished we had our lunch and then it was my turn to have a ride. I did an hour and then we had a cup of tea and a biscuit. For dinner tonight we had ribs with mushrooms grilled tomatoes and beans, fresh fruit for dessert.
We got up at 7 o’clock which was after the clocks were changed os we were happy. I said I would go on the upstairs bike today and H said he would too. I did my hour but he didn’t do his. I did a different route this morning. I thought I had better do a more difficult one. It made a difference because on the flat route I did 18.2 miles in the hour and today I only did 17 miles. But i enjoyed it. This afternoon we went outside and cut the top out of one fire berry bushes. It was so full of berry’s it was pulling it over. I know that the birds love them but there are so many berries this year and we still have some left.
When I got up it was pouring with rain. I had my breakfast and then I emptied the dishwasher. I had to post a birthday card today so I waited for the rain to stop then I put my coat on and walked to the post box,after I had posted it i thought i would go for a short walk. I only did 92 of a mile but I saw 6 squirrels, a magpie burying acorns and 2 jays doing the same.
Today we were going to Holt with our daughter and her husband for the day. They picked us up at 9.30 and when we got there we went and had a coffee first. And after that we went to Bakers and Larners where I bought a Christmas present and a tree decoration and 4 hair clips. H bought some trousers and a butter dish. We were in there for ages. When we came out we went to another shop so H could buy some jumpers. Next we went to another store where I had seen a coat I liked the last time we went. H bought it for me for Christmas. By then it was lunch time so we went and had lunch and by the time we got out of there it was 2 o’clock so we went to the fruit shop and got what we wanted and then went back to the car and home. It was a really nice day.
I decided to have another turbo this morning so I had my breakfast and then sat about till it was time for me to get ready to ride. I told H I would ride for an hour after I had done 39 minutes I came over all hot and dizzy. I got off and sat on a chair until I felt better and then I completed my hour. I did 18 2 miles but it was hard work. H was going to ride after me but in the end he didn’t do it. For dinner we had pasta with meatballs and a tomato sauce I also added mushrooms it was really nice.
Today is our 66th wedding anniversary. I can remember the day as if it was yesterday. I can remember how my mother was worrying and my fathers jokes. My nanny bossing the bridesmaids and my favourite aunt ironing my wedding dress. Well that’s enough of that. Hubby took me out to lunch today and I still feel full. We only had one course and we were too full for anything else. It was really nice. Went the waiter brought us the bill H said it’s her wedding anniversary today, pointing at me. So I said it’s his as well. So the next minute he brought a plate through with a brownie on it with 3 chocolate candles and raspberries decorating it and on the plate was written in icing. We brought it home with us and had it with a cup of tea.
I had my breakfast then i decided I would have a ride on the turbo because it was pouring with rain. The last time I had a ride on it , it had really choked me off. So I went up and washed and cleaned my teeth and got ready to ride. I did the same thing as last time but I did it 6 minutes faster so I was pleased. I was even more pleased when H said he would go up and have a ride, he hasn’t done anything for ages. Our daughter came round on her way to play badminton with a present for us for our wedding anniversary tomorrow..66years.. For dinner tonight we had chicken and chips, corn on the cob and garlic bread.
