Sunday

 I got up at 7 o’clock and had my breakfast . We wanted to go out on our bikes but it was too cold and windy. So we decided not to go. I sat and read till our son got up then I went up for a turbo ride. In the hour I did 19. 1 miles.  Was slower than last week. Son went to the climbing place this afternoon. I cooked dinner for when he got back.we had leg of lamb with potatoes, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower spouts and gravy. We had raspberries ,blackberries and cream for dessert. 

Wednesday

 Today I had to go to the doctors again, I went on Monday. Today was my yearly check blood pressure, blood test etc. Monday’s was a check up for my driving license. Both appointments went well I think. On Sunday I had a ride on the turbo trainer and it was my fastest time fo the year. This afternoon my sister in law, who I meet once a month, came round. She didn’t fancy the City so close to Christmas 🎄. H stayed to see her but then went up to turbo to leave us to chat. Our youngest son is coming home on Friday for Christmas which means we will be going out on our bikes if the weather is kind to us. As he is here for 2 weeks I am sure we will get some rides in. Our other son rang today and I told him his brother was going to be here for 2 weeks  and he said he might come for a ride with us. 

Saturday

 We went for breakfast today with Santa it was great. Our daughter and son in law took us. It was just as good as last year. The children were as good as gold. We had to leave home at 8.15 and we didn’t get home and we were out till 12.30. But we did stop as a shop  on our way home for H to buy my Christmas present. We didn’t want any lunch, we were still full from breakfast but in the middle of the afternoon we opened a bottle of our Christmas wine and had a glass with a mince pie. For dinner tonight we had pizza and garlic bread. 

Friday

 I didn’t have a very good sleep last night, I woke up at quarter to five and couldn’t get back to sleep. So I got up at 5.30 and finished writing my Christmas cards, so that’s one job done. For breakfast I had the same as yesterday, eggs, courgette and tomato. I got the bins in and we went shopping. I managed to get some gluten free stuffing mix and some gluten free pigs in blankets. When we got home I unpacked and put everything away and then I did some housework. We had crumpets for lunch with butter and marmite on ,they were really nice. After lunch I started wrapping Christmas presents it was a nightmare! I couldn’t find the end of the sticky tape then when I did I stuck my fingers together,  I stuck them to the present I was wrapping, I stuck the tape to the carpet and to the roll of paper I was using. I gave up in the end and will give it another go tomorrow. For dinner tonight we had chicken chow mien, we had an orange for dessert.

Thursday

 I got up at 6.10 and made a pot of tea. Then I cooked my breakfast, eggs courgette and tomato. Before I ate it I weighed myself and I had not put any weight on in the last 2 weeks. Yesterday I did some gardening and filled my garden rubbish bin because tomorrow is the day they come to empty it. Then I went upstairs for a turbo ride. I just did half an hour. Then when I was dressed again I cooked dinner, ribs with potatoes, cabbage and carrots. We had an orange for dessert. Tonight we are having a chicken curry.

Sunday

 I had a good nights sleep,for the third night in a row. It been an awful day, I don’t think it stopped raining once and the wind was awful too. I had to ride the bike upstairs.  I did 23.7 miles and my average was 18.7mph. I rode while listening to the Archers omnibus. So 1and a quarter hours. Yesterday I just walked down to the post office to post my cards that were going abroad. For dinner tonight we had chicken with cabbage, broccoli, carrots and potatoes, we had a hot mince pie and squirty cream for dessert. Yesterday we had a curry, chicken jalfenzi , it was quite hot. 

Friday

 I had my breakfast then I emptied the dishwasher and started to restack it. I got dressed and we went shopping. After that I went to the doctors to get n appointment with a doctor for my DVLC  complete checkup. They gave me a double slot,so goodness knows what they are going to do to me. On the way home from there I called in at the post office to get some stamps for my Christmas cards, but the queue was so long I couldn’t wait. I had already spent over half an hour in the surgery and H outdoor be wondering where I was. When I want indoors he went up to turbo and I went into the garden to clear up some more hedge trimmings.  I stayed out there till I couldn’t feel my fingers. This afternoon I started to write my Christmas cards. For dinner tonight we had pasta  followed by an orange.

Thursday

 I decorated the Christmas 🎄 tree before I had my breakfast this morning . Then I had my eggs 🥚 they stayed whole so I knew I was going to have a good day. It was pouring with rain when I got up and we were supposed to be going out with out with our daughter and great grand son for a walk. Well the rain stopped in time for us to go. We drove to Whitlingham and had a lovely walk round the lake, we went for a coffee and something to eat in the cafe when we had done. The walk was just over 2 miles. Yesterday I did some clearing up in the garden and Tuesday I didn’t do anything much because it was my 86 th birthday. H took me out to lunch which was a lovely and then I didn’t have to cook that evening so it was a double treat. Last night we had bacon, eggs, pigs in blankets baked beans and grilled tomatoes. And tonight we had beef ribs with cabbage carrots and potatoes. 

Monday

 I got up at 6.30 and had my breakfast eggs 🍳. We were going out on our bikes today but H didn’t want to go and I wasn’t too keen, so H went on the turbo and son and I went fossil hunting at West Runton. We didn’t have much luck. It was freezing down on the coast and it also poured with rain. We went for a paddle and my feet instantly went numb. Son said he wasn’t going to go in but just as I was coming out he joined me so I stayed in a bit longer. From there we drove to Sheringham where we had some chips and I also had a cup of tea. We sat inside because it was still raining. From there we went to Holt, we went to Bakers and Larners where I managed to get gluten free Christmas puddings ,we went to the greengrocers as well. When we got home I had a soak in the bath to get warm again and then I cooked dinner tonight we had salmon, jacket potatoes, broccoli, and carrots. We had melon 🍈 for dessert which my lovely daughter brought us. Son has just left. 

Sunday 1 st of December

 I put a Christmas jumper on this morning and Christmas leggings.i felt lovely and warm and comfortable. I had my breakfast 🍳 eggs then I ran the vacuum cleaner over the carpets downstairs. I took 3 duck legs out of the freezer for dinner tonight. This afternoon our daughter and her husband and our youngest granddaughter came round bringing me birthday gifts I haven’t opened any of them I am keeping them till my birthday. I got a beautiful bunch of pink roses and pink baby’s breath. They are really beautiful. Later on our son and I went for a short walk to look at peoples Christmas lights on their houses. We walked a mile. When we got home I had my bath and cooked dinner. We had duck legs with mushrooms, carrots, broccoli and potatoes. For dessert we had raspberries and blueberries with cream. Tomorrow dessert will be melon because our daughter brought us one.
