Thursday

 Today I finished filling my garden rubbish bin up after breakfast. My eggs stayed whole so I knew it was going to be a good day. Our son took me fossil hunting. It’s one of my favourite things to do. I love the beach and the sea. We found a few fossils but nothing very exciting.we went for a paddle and the water wasn’t as cold as we thought it was going to be. When we got home H had got my washing in and it’s nearly dry, he also cut the back grass. He didn’t want to come with us he doesn’t like the beach. For dinner tonight we had mince with potatoes carrot, broccoli, cauliflower, dessert was blackberry and apple with cream. 

Wednesday.

 Today we went for a bike ride,we did nearly 23 miles. We went to Hayden for coffee and cake at the cafe

We went by road and track it was a really nice ride. Yesterday son and I went for a walk . .tt That was nice too we walked in the woods. Tonight for dinner we had sausages, bacon, potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and sprouts, stewed apple and cream for dessert.  This morning 1 of my 2 eggs broke when I put it in the pan so I knew it was going to be a bad day. I got a fly in both of my eyes while we were out on our bikes not at the same time and a bird dropped a package on my cheek. Which is supposed to be lucky, the only thing that was lucky about it was that I didn’t have my mouth open. 

Thursday

 As soon as it was light I hung my washing out. I had my breakfast 🍳 H got the bikes out ready for us to go for a ride . H had to take a call from the hospital this morning so that they could explain his operation to him that he’s having on the 6 th of November. We went for a bike ride, we did farm to fork and to Reepham then, after our coffee at bread sauce, awe came home along the track. 19 and a bit miles. For dinner tonight we had sausages, burgers, bacon, egg, fried onions and broccoli. Dessert was raspberries blueberries and cream again, but still very nice. 

Wednesday

Last night I dreamt that I didn’t wake up till 7 o’clock but then I woke up and it was just gone four as usual. But when I cooked my eggs for breakfast they both stayed whole so it turned out to be a good day. I had to go to the dentist today for a filling and an X-ray. Everything was fine. My X-ray showed that everything was fine with no decay and my filling went well, I don’t have to go back until next September. While I was out our son cut our hedge and this afternoon he repaired our gutter on the conservatory. For dinner tonight we had  duck legs with mushrooms, carrots, potatoes, broccoli and leeks. For dessert we had raspberries and blueberries with cream.

Tuesday

 I had my breakfast and laid flat on the floor because I have got a bad back. H got the three bikes out of the garage. We had a coffee and I had a piece of cake to get me round. We got ready for a bike ride we went off road and I was surprised at how dry the track was after all the rain we have had in the last couple of weeks. We went chestnutting and there are loads this year. For dinner tonight we had salmon with jacket potatoes, carrots and broccoli . Son won the crib again last night  that’s 3 in a row. Tomorrow I am going to the dentist.

Monday

 Today is our 65 th wedding anniversary and we were being taken out for lunch by our son. He wouldn’t tell us where we were going. When we got to the venue ( The Sugar Beat ) we went inside and there was the rest of our family. Our eldest son and his wife and our daughter and her husband. It was a lovely surprise. We had a lovely meal and there was a cake which is delicious and blue balloons 6 5 . They were blue because sixty five years is blue sapphire anniversary. I didn’t know this until today. We got a card from the King and Queen. Also the staff at the pub brought H and I a glass of bubbly on the house with their congratulations. We all went  our separate ways when we came out and we drove to a car park somewhere near the river and went for a walk. We were still full at tea time, only son had anything to eat.

Saturday

 well today I was cooking my breakfast when the door bell 🛎 went it was the postman, my first egg went into the pan and broke I thought oh that’s a bad omen! Then H came in with the mail and one letter was from the King . It was a card for our 65 th wedding anniversary . My eggs came out of the pan solid. But what a lovely surprise, we didn’t even know 65 years was anything. I did a load of washing but didn’t hang it out. Our youngest son came home today. He is here for 2weeks. I rode on zwift this morning. I choose a flat route and managed to get an average of 19. 2 mph in my hour ..  I was pleased with that. For dinner tonight we had steak and potatoes carrots broccoli and for dessert we had strawberries and blueberries with cream all washed down with a glass of red wine 🍷. 

Thursday

 I got up at 6.30 and put on a load of washing. I made a pot of tea and fried my 2 eggs. They both stayed whole so I knew I was in for a good day. I hung the washing out and emptied the dishwasher and put everything away. Then H washed the kitchen floor for me, when it was dry I did the work tops . Next we got ready to go out with our daughter and great grand son (he is 2) we went to Pensthorpe. It was a lovely day, the sun came out and we had a lovely walk. Our GGS does not stop talking. Or dinner tonight we had salmon with a jacket potato 🥔 all cooked in the air fryer.

Wednesday

 I got up as 6 o’clock and had eggs for breakfast with a cup of tea. Today we had our flu jabs , our appointment was for 9.20 and today is the day I was seeing my sister in law in the City. I always catch the 9.30 bus. So we went to the surgery in the car , and we went a bit early . We were just about to sit down and we were called through it only took a couple of minutes and we were out again. H dropped me off at the bus stop and the next minute the bus appeared. I met my sister in law and her daughter and we went for a coffee and a chat. After coffee it was just my sister in law and I . We walked round the City going in shops till it was time for lunch. After lunch we both got our busses home. I walked 2.5 miles. Tomorrow we are going to Pensthorpe with our daughter and great grand son. 

Sunday

 I got up at 6.30 am and had my breakfast . I had 2 eggs on toast and a cup of tea. We decided to go out on our bikes today so I emptied the dishwasher and put everything away, while H got the bikes out. We went on the road to Ringland and then to Ling. From there we went up yet another hill to the Fakenham road then left down a little lane and on to Whitwell where we got on the track and home. It’s very hilly and now my knees are stiff. For dinner tonight we had a steak pie with potatoes carrots peas and marrow with a mince pie 🥧 for dessert. 

Friday

 I got up at 6.30 and H was already up and stirring his porridge. I fried my 2 eggs and poured the tea. When we got up this morning our car was all frozen up and the conservatory roof was covered in pretty patterns made by Jack Frost. We went to Tesco for our groceries and when we got home we had a coffee and a cream horn. As it was so cold we decided not to go out on our bikes 🚲. We thought the track would be too muddy and riding on the road when the sun is bright at this time of year is dangerous so I had a ride upstairs, I did 18.4 miles in an hour.  For dinner tonight we had a prawn stir fry. For dessert we had a mince pie. 

Tuesday

 I had another night with only 3.12 hours sleep. I got fed up just laying there so at 4 o’clock I got up and went downstairs and read my book. After breakfast I got dressed and we went to Lidl. When we got home we put everything away and had a coffee, then we got ready to go out on our bikes. We did the same ride as we did on Sunday. It was harder because we had a lot of rain over night and the track was muddy with some big puddles. But we did it much faster. I am hope I will be able to get to sleep tonight. For dinner tonight we had pizza and salad.

Monday

 I had yet another terrible nights sleep. I had my breakfast 🍳 and took my medication, I put on a load of washing and when it was done I hung it out. It’s been a lovely sunny day and it all got dry. I did a bit of dusting then I went outside to do some gardening. I planted loads of daffodil bulbs, and did some weeding. For lunch we had cheese and tomatoes. After lunch H got ready to go and spend the afternoon with his ex Spanish teacher, he went on his electric bike. I put my garden table and chairs away in the garage for the winter. For dinner tonight we had ribs, chips and sweet corn 🌽. 

Sunday

 Today we went for a bike ride we did just over 16 miles off road, there were several trees down but it must have been a few days ago because they had been cut up and pushed to the side of the track. We enjoyed the ride but the wind was strong. Yesterday I took the net off my strawberries 🍓 and wed the bed. It took me all afternoon. For dinner tonight we had a steak and kidney pie with marrow, carrots, peas and potatoes. 

On Friday we had a lovely day, our daughter and son in law took us to Sutton Hoo they picked us up at 10.30 in the morning and when we got there we met our youngest granddaughter and her boyfriend, and our grandson and his fiancée. We went to the cafe first for a coffee and cake. Then we had a walk round the house while we were waiting for our guided walk.. round the site of the graves. The weather was kind to us and it was very interesting. Then we went back to our daughters house for fish and chips for dinner. After dinner we played a game. We were taken home again and it was 8.30 so we were out all day. It was most enjoyable 

Thursday

 Yesterday I did a turbo ride but I only did half an hour because I didn’t like the program I was on. Today we went shopping instead of tomorrow because tomorrow we are going out. We also went to Next . I wanted a Winter coat or a jacket that was warm. But they didn’t have any. They had some fleeces that I liked but the zips only went a little way down so you had to pull them all over your head, which you don’t want to do if you go into a cafe. I did buy myself a shoulder bag.we had chicken and veg last night for dinner and tonight we have got pizza and salad. Mince pie for dessert.
