Sunday 30 degrees C.

We both got up at 6 oclock after a better nights sleep than we expected. We had our breakfast and I did a load of washing. When I went to empty the dishwasher there was quite a lot of water in the bottom so it looks as if we might have a blockage in the drainage pipe. I hung out the washing and we had a coffee. I did nothing else till lunchtime. We watched a programme about the heat and old people, (doctor John)as we are both over 80 we thought it probibly referd to people like us. He said it wasnt wise to exersize in this heatwave so we decided not to cycle. We have plenty of other days to do it,we will hang on till the temp.goes down a bit. Dinner was quiche with salad, just right in this heat.
